Several neighbors have stopped by to compliment the work that was completed on the home. S&S was extremely detailed in the work completed and was really easy to work with. They were prompt to show up on the job. The cleanup at the end of the day was excellent. I would highly recommend this company and would re-hire.

During one of our windstorms a couple of years ago, a tree branch went through the roof and I needed someone to come out to remove it and repair the roof. I tried about 5 other contractors and none could make it out for at least week, and some even longer. When I mentioned this to the woman who cuts my hair, she told me about S & S who had replaced her roof. So I called and Shane returned my call almost immediately. He arranged to have his dad come take care of it that day, which I was very grateful for. Not only was the work done quickly, but the charge to do it was very reasonable. Due to that experience, I will be contacting them to get a bid to replace the roof when that time comes.

It went very well. Fairly large roof with lots of ridges to cap and 3 skylights. Was completed in 3 1/2 days. The only thing that was not 100% was the clean up, I am still finding roofing nails on the ground around the house. Shane has agreed to come back out and do another magnetic sweep, but has not been scheduled yet.

They were reasonable, did the work as promised and did a quality job on our roof.

Awesome job from start to finish. Would definitely hire for future work.

Shane and his crew did a amazing job. I would use s and s roofing again. They were here on time and worked hard all day long. It took three days and they even worked on Saturday.

Our house has a lot of roofing square footage, so we collected upwards of 20 bids on the job. S&S's quote came in at a great rate for the materials and warranty provided, so after careful comparison we decided they were the company for us. The team was hard-working, professional, and got the job done in just two days.  Our roof looks great and is holding up nicely. We LOVE our new solar tubes and our only regret is that we didn't decide to install some in the living room too!  I have already recommended them to a neighbor and would definitely use S&S again.

This was our second time with Shane. The first was for a small roof repair. He took care of that with no problems, and he did not try to sell us anything we did not want or need.
Our second experience with him was just last week. We thought we needed another repair, but he showed us we needed a new roof. He was very detailed about what products he would use (and why),  as well as the details of all  products and brands available, along with their warranties.
He also went into detail for us about what would be involved with putting on a new roof. That meant working around our schedule, so all the noise, and people working would inconvenience us as little as possible. He started on time and finished on time as well. He had a great crew working for him, who were as detailed as he was. And he took care of every little detail, especially some small fine tuning that needed to be tended to afterwards.
We recommend Shane and his company most highly. Not only is he detail oriented, but he is a reliable member of the community. He only hires qualified people, uses top brand products, and gives a fair price. And he even answers his phone. That's the main reason we took him on in the first place. We spoke to a person, not a machine.

It went very well.  The only thing that presented problems was our Northwest weather no cooperating!

S & S Roofing exceeded all our expectations and we highly recommend them.  We went thru the bid process and chose Shane to do our work.  He was very professional, always answered his phone (never went to voice mail) and was clear and concise in all communications. Estimate was received one day after meeting.  We added a few upgrades, and received revised estimate promptly.  Once decision was made to go with S&S Roofing, we were provided an approximate timeline.  Absolutely everything went according to the plan and the work was completed in the the three day timelime given by Shane.  The crew showed up promptly each morning and worked a full day, making sure the roof was buttoned up in case of rain.  They were  hardworking and very courteous.   At the end of the project all areas were thoroughly cleaned and picked up.  We could not be happier!

My experience with Shane and crew of S&S Roofing was nothing but positive throughout the entire process. Although we did receive one estimate just a few dollars cheaper for the same thing we first observed the crew of S&S roofing our neighbors home a year prior to contacting them. The professionalism and cleanliness of the work crew is what helped us seek out this company and was ultimately the deciding factor for us. The crew delivering the plywood to our home were attacked be a nest of hidden ground hornets. Not a single complaint! Nicest guys ever. Of course we called a pest control service immediately so this wouldn't happen again. The roofing crew were hard working, detail oriented and knowledgeable answering happily any questions we had. The heat was extreme during the installation and the crew never slowed down for even a minute. Amazing work ethic. The entire process took about 3 days and each day an entire clean up of debris was done. Although a few nails had been missed (we have a perimeter of full mature gardens with rock landscaping leaving many tiny crevices for nails to hide) a return trip was very prompt (within) two hours and the whole perimeter was recovered and completed in just minutes. Bottom line, an A++ Beautiful job and customer service from this company! I would definitely hire them again even if it meant to wait for a chance to see them.

Shane is very professional and responsive.  You can count on reaching him and getting answers when you need them from calling for an estimate  to completing the job.  He is proud of his work and wants to make the customer totally happy.  Shane went the extra mile in investigating ways to help us out with a deck problem, really out of his area of expertise, which is roofing.  He came through in all ways.  Workers were prompt, hardworking, and efficient.  The area was cleaned up nicely every evening.  A solid recommend for S and S roofing.

Shane the owner of S&S did the measuring and the bid personally. Shane presented himself in a professional manner and was able to answer all my questions about the installation and my concerns about an existing leaking skylight. After securing about 6 bids, I decided to go with S&S as their bid was nearly the lowest and the knowledge and experiance of Shane made my decision fairly easy.
 
Shane and his crew showed up as scheduled and began work. Shane met with me and asked if I had any questions or concerns, then left instructions with  his crew before he left for another job. Complete installation took only 2 days, except for the skylight that had to be ordered. They did a great job of cleaning up, including taking a magnet to search for any dropped nails or staples.
Today, Shane returned and installed the skylight and once again asked if I was happy with the job.---I was indeed happy and I would recommend S&S Roofing to anyone who asks.---

Shane Dunlap has been a joy to work with! He was recommended by our realtor when we needed a new roof to prepare for sale of our house (it was years past due). We got bids and S & S was by far the most reasonable. He was also willing to work with us on a payment plan and even agreed to let us include our general "dump run" with the disposal of the old roof (husband and I are both disabled, so this was a huge favor and benefit for us). His warranty will extend to the new buyer of our house, a great selling point.
S & S gave us an estimate in March and kept in touch until May when we were finally ready to proceed. He is easy to reach by either phone or email. We added on the tool shed re-roof at the last minute at our buyers request and Shane was gracious about it even though it caused him inconvenience. Even more, our buyer was supposed to have notified him of their color choice but did not. Shane worked the phone to get the information and was polite and professional even when buyer's realtor was rude to him and buyer kept changing their mind--all while the crew was waiting to start work! Our roof definitely put a monkey wrench in his plans for the day but he was calm, collected and a real professional the whole time.
It happens that we need to put a new roof on the house we are purchasing. Despite all the mishaps getting our current roof going he said he'd be happy to help us with the next one. We're thrilled to know that we will get that roof done quickly, professionally, and exactly as promised. A+

Overall the experience was great. It took about a week for our metal order to arrive. S&S kept us informed every step of the way and they showed up shortly after the materials and went right to work. The shingles were removed and some bad sheathing. A water damaged truss was repaired. They finished in 2 days time including clean up.

They were good.  They did good work and were quick, and honest.  They did what we asked but we did the clean up. They were responsive.

When I first called, I got to speak to Shane in person, not just to some answering machine. He spent a lot of time with me answering and asking questions about the roof.  When he came over to the house, at the time and date specified, he was very professional about every aspect of the visit, from identifying himself, to performing an inspection, to treating it not as if it was just for the purpose of a free estimate. He was very thorough in identifying all problems,  as well as in explaining all the work that would be needed. He also helped in dealing with the insurance company,  including all paperwork and even being here when the adjustor arrived. He was on time, with appropriate supplies and qualified personnel, at the date and time as promised to do only  the repairs as originally stated. He was very easy going as well as professional, and he was very knowledgeable about the nature of his work.

It was a good experience overall, and we were impressed with the care that all of the crew took in keeping the area clean and picked up daily. The new roof looks great, and the ridgeline vent we had installed as well, has helped keep the house cooler.They did exactly what we agreed to, and in a very timely manner.
