Clean Cut has removed trees for us before. This time again the work went exactly as discussed when he came out to estimate the job. One 18-foot tall tree was removed and the branches of several other trees removed from overhanging roof and powerlines. They also removed grape vines that were climbing into an apple tree and onto our roof. The branches were trimmed properly back to the tree or to an adjacent branch - no stubs. Removed several dead branches from our very large pine tree, probably 30-ft up or more. They arrived exactly on time with great communication about their arrival time. They finished the job in one day and cleaned up completly, no sign they had ever been there once they were done, except the trees all look much better now! I am very satisfied.

We received bids from 3 local service providers in September 2016. All 3 came to our house to review the job. Steve from Clean Cuts offered the best price, so we agreed on that amount and set a date. Steve and his partner arrived as planned on the agreed date, which was good, since I planned a day off from work to be present. The amount of work they would be doing was expected to take all day. They brought out a variety of chain saws, a large commercial wood chipper and a chipper truck to collect all the chipped materials. As soon as we reviewed the plan, they got right to work. I was able to help Steve on the ground, feeding branches into the chipper - even though I was paying for them to do the work, I couldn't just stand around and do nothing all day. At the end of the day, all thirteen trees had been limbed and cut into 18" long rounds (perfect for splitting into firewood), including a couple of dangerous-looking cottonwoods that Steve suggested be cut down. This added service did not alter the quoted price, as Steve considered everything to be a wash since I had helped feed the chipper all day. Once all the trees were down, Steve and his partner cleaned up the area so well, it looked like they had never been there! Both guys worked hard all day, were careful not to damage any of the surrounding trees or foliage, and were both very professional and sensitive to our needs and expectations. Their second visit was in August of 2017, to cut down a few more cottonwoods and limb several evergreens of dead and broken branches to improve their appearance and allow more sunlight into a darker part of our property. Once again, they arrived on time, stayed on plan, worked hard, and honored the quoted price. We would recommend Clean Cuts to anyone for having trees cut down.

Steve was a lifesaver! We had a big wind storm that knocked down my beloved flowering plum tree. It fell toward the house, and while it didn't do major damage, it was resting on the garage roof and blocking my front door and my garage. I needed to get someone out same day to at least cut it up for us so that we could leave our house. After calling several places that didn't answer (I'm guessing they were on emergency jobs from the storm), and being told by one contractor "you're not going to find anyone who will come out today"... I was thrilled when I got ahold of Steve and he said he could swing by after finishing the job he was on. A couple hours later, my tree was gone and I spent about half of what I was expecting to. I am so glad we decided to call Steve, and he'll definitely be on the top of my list if we decide to do anything with other trees on our property.

Steve answered calls promptly and showed up right when he said he would. He was to lower the trees and trim them up some. He quoted me a price of 800. He wasn't able to top the trees the way he planned and had to change how he did it. It caused him to have lots more work than planned. It was a crew of 3 who worked 7 hours. Since it was so much more work, I asked how he wanted to handle payment and if he would need more, his reply was that he doesn't change bids. I ended up paying him extra to try and make it more fair.
Upon leaving it was very clean and no large messes were left. His truck had a small oil leak and he put cardboard down right away so no drips got on the driveway. He left a small pile of rounds from the trunk, probably thinking that I would want them for my fireplace. Which I would have, except that both my fireplaces are gas.
He is a true professional and does excellent work. I would hire him again and tell anyone that needs tree work to give him a call, I'm very happy with his work. Keep a little cash in your back pocket to tip him at the end.

The larger cherry tree in my front yard were into the power-lines to my house, overhanging my roof and overpowering an adjacent dogwood. I watched the entire operation and they knew what to do about every complication with very little discussion as they quickly and smoothly removed the tree. They did no damage to any adjacent trees or bushes and were respectful of my neighbor's property.
The dogwoods were about 40' tall and were felled and bucked with no fuss. My apple tree was a mess and they began the taming process very nicely. They removed the branches I requested from the Maple and Redwood. Every trimmed branch was properly cut close to the trunk with no tearing. The cleanup was absolutely complete. Wood was bucked and stacked in place. They did the entire job in 3.5 hours and when they left you wouldn't have known they were there except for the missing wood!
Bottom line is these guys know what they are doing and they do it well and quickly. They use high quality equipment (100% Stihl) and it all worked first-time every time, which speaks to the fact they maintain and respect their tools. They were respectful to us, competent and professional. They told me they do jobs for the Marysville school district and so have to carry $1 million insurance and a large bond. I will hire them the next time my trees need work.
I haven't had them grind the stumps yet but that is coming soon.

We've had high winds and heavy rains/flood conditions this week. Just minutes before I was supposed to leave my house this morning for work, a tree on my property blew over, blocking my long, narrow, driveway (it's maybe a tenth of a mile) and effectively preventing me from getting off the property. The driveway is flanked by woods on both sides, so there was no driving around the downed tree, either.
I tried calling several tree service companies, but they either didn't answer their phones or weren't available. I needed someone ASAP, because I was trapped until I could get this tree removed.
Steve Williams of Clean Cut answered immediately, and was available to come out right away. He said he and his crew would be out within 1-1.5 hours, but they actually arrived a few minutes before the hour was up. Three guys total, two with chainsaws. The crew was friendly and industrious. The pesky tree was sliced in firewood-sized segments and moved out of the way in about 15 minutes. What a relief!
When I arrived at work, co-workers asked me how much I'd paid to get the tree removed so quickly. When I told them that Steve and his crew charged me only $100 to make short work of the tree, they were stunned. One of my co-workers paid $1,200 to have a tree cut up and removed after it fell on power lines following the Hanukkah Eve storm of 2006. Certainly, that was a much trickier operation than mine, removing a tree that had become entangled with power lines. But still, Clean Cut seems to be a bargain, especially considering that they were out to my property within an hour after my call, without charging a thin dime extra for an "emergency call." I would recommend them to anyone.

Steve and his crew are fabulous. They were very timely and fair in their estimate and in getting the job done. They were pleasant, safe, professional and thorough. They were able to do the work soon after giving me the estimate, and stayed with the price they had quoted. They cleaned up well after the job was complete and cut the rounds in the lengths that I had requested. I felt well taken care of and would definitely recommend this company. I will use them again, if I ever need a tree company again.

Steve was punctual, efficient and professional. The trees were removed carefully and limbs were dropped as close to the base of the tree as possible. The trunks and sizable limbs were cut into pieces that were manageable for us. There were a few remaining larger trunk pieces we found difficult to saw because of the saws we were using. When they came back to grind the stumps they cut them up in smaller pieces and didn't charge us extra. One of our neighbors dropped by as they also had a tree they wanted removed and Steve and his worker made time in their schedule to take it down that day. We have already recommended them to a relative. Their cost for our job was $400 less than the other company who gave us an estimate. I would definitely hire them again.

I initially called another tree service company and left a message, they asked Steve from Clean Cut to give me a call. (apparently they were very busy) Steve called the next morning and was able to come out that afternoon to give me an estimate. When he was looking at the tree he noticed the septic lid near it and asked about the location of the drain field. I got him a diagram I had and he paced off the approximate area of drain field and explained how he would need to make sure to avoid it when falling the tree as to not cause damage. I really appreciated that he was that contentious and observant. The other companies I got estimates from did not say anything about the drain filed and avoiding damage to it. The price Steve quoted was also the lowest estimate I had gotten so I told him to go ahead and schedule it. He said they could do the job the next afternoon. On the day of the job, Steve called about 45 minutes ahead of time to let me know they were on their way. He and another man came to do the work. They fell the tree exactly where he said he would and avoided landing it on the septic field. They cut down the tree, cut the stump to ground level, cleaned up all the branches and raked the yard in that area. They hauled it all away, so when there were done it was almost as if the tree had never been there.
