This crew was hired to cut back and thin some huge old-but-lovely camellia shrubs, and thin out another giant older shrub. They did a beautiful job, my camellias now look worthy of a Japanese art garden! Not just cutting for shape and form, the crew was also mindful of clearing branches safely away from house and fencing, and giving leaves room to breathe and be healthy. They were good listeners for what we wanted, and an exuberant, pleasant happy crew. Well worth the price, I would happily hire them again to do more work.

All went great!  Maybe pickup branches better, but all in all, satisfied.  Climbed into the tree, cut off dying/diseased branches, cut what was overhanging into neighbor's yard.

One of the trees was in desperate need of pruning.  This was the first time I had used Dan Olsen and his crew and they did a great job.  Dan made sure the work was done to my satisfaction.  Thank you Dan!

Olsen Tree Service was excellent. He was very professional. They all wore safety equipment. He had a good crew with him. They all seemed to be well-trained. He is also an arborist, so he has knowledge on trees. It was just an all-around and professional contractor.

Dan Olsen is, besides being a amazing tree trimmer, an all around nice guy and a pleasure to work with. He was punctual, followed thru with everything we discussed, confirmed the time of our appointment and showed up on the dot! He walked us thru each step of the process, checked with us several times for assurance that he was doing exactly what we wanted the that the results were what we envisioned.
He was polite and professional, competent, knowledgeable and cared about his work and our place. His pricing was ver compoetitive and he did exactly what we asked for the price quoted. You can look for other arborists, get prices and all you'll discover is that you wasted your time. Dan is The Best and we will both use him again and refer him to anyone who needs his services.

He made recommendations about what trees to trim and how much. I took his advice and it worked perfectly. He trimmed 7 large trees.  He's been working with his crew for years.  His prices are very affordable.  He's a certified arborist and is professional.  He knew what he was doing.  They also brought us good luck, because right after the they were finished, we got an offer on our house!

After a hugh windstorm the night before, we woke up to a very large cottonwood tree leaning toward our house the next morning. We called Dan (first time caller) and as luck would have it he was able to come to our house immediately. He told us his plan and gave us a estimate. It seemed a lot to fell a tree to be left in the forest, but after all, it was only one tree and we really wanted it gone. So he got right on it. Dan explained exactly what he was going to do and was happy to let us watch. It was quite fascinating. Because there were other trees near the one we needed down our tree was forced to swing a little bit toward the house and not entirely into the forest. We are on a slope and the terrain is quite difficult. We thought, well okay he'll probably cut the trunk into 6 foot lengths and we would probably have to deal with the mess (we're talking 50' tree!). We were SO surprised when he told us he would cut the limbs off and move all the debris back into the forest to naturalize. He did a really really excellent job. I don't think there was one limb/branch/trunk left out in plain sight! He saved us a lot of work and the cost was well worth it! Well worth it!!

We would most definitely call Dan again for any thinning, pruning or removal of future trees!
