The overall quality of work was fine. He was supposed to be here originally from noon-1pm. By the time I got home before noon, he called and said he would now be arriving between 1-2pm, but ended showing up at 2. One odd thing he did was that he would exit our house and go to his van excessively. He did this well over 30 times (our alarm system showed how many times) over the duration of the installation and he would be gone each time for 3-4mins. It took him 4 hours to install the dishwasher and microwave. $150 for the dishwasher and $95 per hour for the microwave. I was shocked when he presented me with a bill nearing $500. I would not recommend him if you want this done quickly or inexpensively.

He came out and took the refrigerator apart. He told me he would call the next day, but he never showed up. I waited a few days and called him. He said he lost my phone number and that he would order the part. Now it's been a week without a working refrigerator though. I waited another week to hear on the part. I called again and he said it would be another week. I said forget it because the parts alone were going to be $400 and I had already paid $124.50 for his labor. I decided purchasing a new refrigerator with a warranty would be a better value if I'm going to spend nearly $600.

**UPDATE**
To JW Allen --  Your lack of professionalism is clearly evident in both your response on Angie?s List and in the phone message I received from you this weekend. I am neither ?stupid? nor ?a d*** liar?.         Regarding our brief interaction:  I contacted you by cell phone.  I have no idea why my number did not show up on your phone. I don't have any blocks on the service nor have I ever had anyone tell me my number didn?t show up on their phone.   Perhaps your phone doesn?t recognize out of state numbers---I do have an 808 area code.   Details of experience:          You arrived late afternoon Tuesday Oct. 21 after returning my call looking for someone to repair my 4 year old Sears Kenmore refrigerator. You took apart my fridge- diagnosed the problem and said you would call the next day (Wednesday) with a price for parts and labor. I paid your fee with a check and you verified that the address was correct.  It never occurred to me to repeat my phone number.        I waited until the following Monday, October  27 and called you at 9:43 am only to discover that you did not have my phone number. (I would think that a business man with integrity would have either come back to the residence or even dropped a card in the mail to let the customer know you didn?t have their phone number and to contact you)   You had my address, it was on the check I wrote you. On the 27th you stated you would order the parts and it should take several days.        I called on 10/31 at 1 pm and you stated the parts weren?t in yet.  I called you again on November 3rd at 8:41 am and you stated two of the parts were in but you had not received the third part yet. When I asked how much longer, you said you would call the company and get back to me. Your return call that same day stated that the part should arrive  Thursday, November 13th.         I called on the 10th (9:28 am)  hoping that maybe the part might have arrived early. No such luck. You did state you would  be able to come out on the weekend if the part arrived.      On November 12th at 3:25 pm, you left a message on my cell phone to tell me that you had heard back about the part and it now was on back order until November 26th.       I replied the next morning, Nov. 13th (7:53 am);  at that time I said something about having to do something different as I was planning to have a large group of family for Thanksgiving Dinner.  You stated you completely understood and would give me a call if the part should come in sooner.          I went out on November 16th and purchased a new refrigerator. You did call me around the 20th to say you were still waiting for the part; I explained then that I couldn?t wait any longer and had purchased a new fridge. You stated ?I can?t really blame you, it has been over 3 weeks?. I stated it had been a month, thanked you and ended the call.      A refrigerator is an essential appliance in a home and  I realize that you can?t be held responsible for parts availability or lack thereof.  What really disappointed me was that I was always the one to call you for updates. Only once, and that was towards the end, did you call me to update on the status of the parts.
Response from AA Rated Company
"When took this service call, I was given the address by this customer. I was already working in Sedro Woolly and told her I would be there in 30 minutes. I told her IN ADVANCE there would be a $124.50 as trip charge and for diagnostic work on an LG frig. She accepted this before I arrive at her home. I spent about 1 hour taking the rear panel off her LG frig, and testing 2 components located in the evaporator . LG refrigerators are Korean, and sometimes difficult to work on and find parts for. Often the electrical diagrams are not correct. I also spent about 15 minutes determining why her gas range was dead. I pulled out the range and tested the wires at the outlet box. No current there. The owner lives there but did not see the GFI was tripped. I reset it and the range lights came on. Evidently she completely takes this for granted as she FAILS TO MENTION THIS. I told her I would phone her the next morning with the cost and availability of the parts for her refrigerator. I planned to do this. But when I looked at my phone's 'calls received' list, I saw (Members Name Removed) phone number was UNLISTED. I failed to see this when she first phoned me. And the woman was not bright enough to tell me she first phoned me from an unlisted number. This is a complete lie from this (Members Name Removed) - " He said he lost my phone number " She did phone me about a week later and I explained why it was impossible for me to contact her. Then she gave me her phone number. I told her I would phone her in about 2 days with the total cost and when the parts should arrive. I did this. At that time she decided to have the repair done. I ordered the parts. 2 parts came quickly. But the 3rd was out of stock, and had to come from LG directly. I phoned her several times about this and kept her well updated. I also phoned her to give her the bad news about the 3rd part needed, each time I was told there was more of a delay on the part's arrival. In fact, I was much better in keeping the customer informed than she was me. Because finally the 3rd part arrived. I phoned her to tell her, only then did she tell me she bought a new refrigerator."
