I have used Robbins Air for all my furnace/air conditioning needs for the last 10 years and have only had good techs show up. I see there is one F rating here, I am guessing that that person is now gone. As a small business owner I know we appreciate hearing if we have an employee not giving top service and take measures to rectify it. I try not to judge a business on one bad employee, often times the owner is not aware of the problem
Robbins Air came out and evaluated our situation. They came back with several options and quotes. We chose the ductless system and haven't regretted it. The installation went very smoothly. During the installation they showed a genuine interest that the unit was placed where it would function at it's best and still be aesthetically pleasing. We were very pleased with the service we received from all the individuals involved with this project. They even helped us with the paper work to receive a $300.00 rebate.
We will definitely use them again, should the need arise, and will recommend to family and friends.
He replaced the glass and relit the fireplace. When I said that I could smell combustion gases he blamed it on the wind.
Then he walked over to the thermostat and announced the fireplace wasn't working because we had installed the wrong thermostat. I pulled the cover off and showed him it was the correct one which he grudgingly agreed with.
He finally left. After some time I was still smelling combustion gases I discovered that he had not fully seated the glass which could have killed me from carbon monoxide had I not discovered it. Our fireplace draws its combustion air from outside the house and exhausts it outside as well so seating the glass incorrectly defeated the integrity of the fireplace.
I contacted the store and told them I would never let that serviceman back in my house. I would gauge their concern as a 5 on a ten scale. I requested and received a refund for the call but that didn't ameliorate the danger he had placed us in. Never again.
