OVERHEAD DOOR

They were just fantastic. I've had no problems with it so far. They were in and out one afternoon. It took them just a couple of hours. Just one installer came out. They were punctual, courteous and professional. I am very very satisfied with the stuff they used.

When I showed the company rep the broken motor, he was incredulous. He never saw anything like that before.  After a phone call to some unknown person, he said that rather than just the motor, the company would replace the whole unit, but I would have to bring my unit in. I assumed that was a commitment. I brought in the unit as instructed, expecting to be given a replacement.
However, I was told that now he would need authorization. When I asked why and how long, his only reply was "I have your number; I will  call you. This was over a week ago. I've stopped in a couple of times and gotten the same dismissive answer. My phone calls go unreturned.
I have registerd a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I hope the issue will get resolved eventually. But my experience has moved me to write this review. In summary:  Overhaed Door equipment is OK, probably average for the industry. They are overpriced, especially regarding labor. And if anything goes wrong, be prepared to deal with some folks who haven't got the memo on corporate ethics.

Tech arrived on time, got immediately to work, finished work, gave me an oral report, and departed. Completely professional.

They came in and looked to see what needed to be done. We live in a house which is 20 to 21 years old and the doors really needed to be changed. It had metal doors put in. One of the motors had to be changed because it was old. I would rate them as excellent. They got right to business when they came here. The garage doors are looking fine. I am very pleased with the service. We have a double garage door and we contracted them to fix them.

Salesman was pleasant, helpful and sent excellent explanatory materials.  I live in another part of the country and have not yet seen the doors and opener, so cannot comment firsthand on quality.  Occupants of the home have been satisfied with the new doors and opener.  Despite phoning, faxing and mailing a request that the existing garage door be repaired, or if need be, replaced at the same time that the doors were installed (to save a second visit charge), the installer claimed to know nothing about this and did not have a replacement opener with him.  I contacted the salesman about this problem, and he agreed to have a new opener installed on a second visit without an additional charge for the second visit.  All of the Garage Door personnel I spoke with were courteous and helpful.  Should you need to handle such a project from long distance, as I had to, I recommend bird-dogging any unusual requirements that you may have.  I thought I had done so, but still experienced the problem described above.
I selected Overhead Door upon the recommendation of a very knowledgeable, helpful and expert Chittenden County resident so I did not shop around for price or provider.

Was having problems with our automatic garage door opener.  The technician showed up on time (although they had committed to an appointment a few days earlier late in the day, but called late in the day to reschedule since they were running late).  He quickly diagnosed the problem, identified another even more serious problem, that if unfixed, would have been a disaster (the whole overhead  track falling down) and suggested a couple of other items that would improve performance.  Done quickly and neatly.

I liked their professionalism, they had excellent and speedy service and they were very tidy. I also liked the quality of product.
