Bob's Service Center

This is an updated review. They were prompt, friendly, and courteous. In my first review I gave them an overall rating of B because they put the more expensive synthetic oil in my car without asking if I wanted it or explaining why they automatically chose to use it. After seeing my review on Angie's List, Roger, the service manager, called me to explain that my car requires W-20 oil (which is consistent with what my car's manual says), and that this oil is only available as synthetic oil. He was very professional and clear in his explanation. I guess they assumed that I knew this, but it was the first time I had the oil changed since I purchased the car, and my manual did not say that W-20 oil was only available as synthetic oil. So the misunderstanding was cleared up, and I am updating my overall rating to an A. I will definitely use Bob's Service Center again.

They ordered the part and installed the motor one day earlier than they had estimated. When I picked up the car, they asked if I had AAA (which I did) and gave me a 10% discount. The wipers work great. I am glad that I happened upon Bob's Service Center and I would definitely use them again in the future.

It went very well. Service light is now off.

It went fine. I really don't have much to add as it was a very simple operation.

Bob's did nothing, While we could understand that some of the delay was caused by the July 4 holiday, they had one mechanic who continually fed us excuses for getting nothng done the entire following week. We called them every day starting on the Turesday after the holiday and everyday it was another excuse -- "oh, we just didn't get to it, today," "Oh, we were shorthanded." Keep in mind that all we were asking them to do was to plug the car into their computer sand get a diagnosis so we could decide what to do, but apparently this was too much for them. When, on Friday of the following week (Bob's had now had the car for eight days), we opted to have the car towed (at our cost) to a mechanic closer to home, they had the gall to tell AAA that they wouldn't release the car without us paying a "storage charge" The only way we could avoid payint thisd little piece of extortion was to give them the towing job and the accompanying a $250 fee. Its worth noting that AAA was 100% useless throughout this process. As usual, they give out their seal of approval nd then refuse to do saything to stand brhind the seal. So, as far as our experience went, we felt we were dealuig with incompetents, liars and crooks. The trifecta. I would never, under any circumstances, deal with these guys again,

Overall the service was great. Had a misunderstanding at first with an employee, but in the end Bob stepped in and saved the day. I really appreciate all his help.
