We were billed $4000.00. After the install, I detailed out all the parts estimating $2000.00. He worked a total of 16 hours, so that puts him at $123 per/hr. We had a few other quotes that were a fair amount less but we really liked how he took the time to explain the scope of work. Before excepting service we asked in a text, is there any flexibility in dropping the price? He said, "the estimate has a great potential to be lower if all goes as planned. I try very hard to keep estimates at worse case scenario". The work performed was very professional and I would hire again based on that. To save money I told him that I would install the vents. I did show my part list and he said that it was not even close. I went over the system again trying to blow up the cost more with little to no luck. We do feel that we were over charged for the work done. That being said I still have to finish the job, install vents, and tie in upstairs baseboard.
