Complete creep. Showed up late, hung a few pictures. Made the comment he was headed to the bedroom and see what happens in there. I didnt take it in a derogatory manner but when he asked me to come in to check something he slapped my ***. Thats when he was asked to leave. At 3:15 and he told me to pay him until 5pm. Then he stAlked me. I involved the police.
Response from Husband for a Day
"In 20 years of experience in doing work in client's homes I have never had my character questioned. This is a troubling review in that it is untrue. I have reached out to Angie and they confirmed that anyone can write anything they want and there is no verification process. Nor is there any timely process to have a bogus review deleted. The police verified that the stalking was apparently from someone in a gray truck. My truck is white with Husband For A Day lettering on it. This is considered slander and I have spoken to Angie a couple times with no progress on removing the review. I was not even going to respond to this false review but was told by Angie that they only way they would even look into this matter is by my writing a response."

He arrived on time and with everything he needed.  He figured out a clever way to make the repair without having more extensive work because of the "cottage cheese" ceilings.  He removed the cabinets, which were not of good quality, boxed in the space between kitchen and living room, replaced the cabinets and added moldings to finish the job nicely.  He even made new moldings for the cabinets to replace pieces that were broken/missing.

He also repaired the seal on the toilet upstairs which had leaked and caused the damage to the kitchen ceiling below.

He is so careful, and conscientious about doing the work properly.  Not a slip-shod bone in his body!  I can whole-heartedly recommend him.  I will certainly be using him again for other projects.

Gregg did a very nice job installing the organizers. It was a little tricky because there was trim he had to cut around but it came out perfectly. He clearly is a skilled carpenter. I only had two issues with my experience. One, he was late and that personally drives me crazy. I run my own business and my day is pretty scheduled so waiting frustrates me. I thought the cost was a little high but I will take some of the blame for that, we did not agree on a price in advance. My circumstances had me at a point where I just needed to get this done so I did not specifically ask for a quote.

Gregg did a very nice job despite recovering from a shoulder injury. He made every effort to get the job done before winter (as promised). Would definitely recommend.

Husband for a Day did a good job. He was able to schedule us into his schedule, even though he was busy. He knew we had an issue that needed a quick response. He was absolutely responsive. He did the job and got it done. He's going to be doing more work for us once the weather gets better.

For over 10 years, Gregg has been our go-to person for all kinds of home repairs and renovations--large and small, interior and exterior. He takes the time to really listen and get to know his customers and their preferences. He stays on top of trends and industry products, researches options and will offer sound advice about cost/quality decisions. He has a great network of additional area professionals to subcontract when the job calls for it. Super-friendly and a pleasure to work with!

The service was great. He showed up on time, was very informative with the work. He also made sure to keep me updated through project. He did a great job cleaning up once the work was completed. I will use him in the future.

He carefully accessed the damage, sent an estimate, followed up with a phone call , and promptly scheduled the work. On the job he put down floor protection and enclosed the work area with plastic sheets to minimize the dust. He supplied all the materials and worked steadily. I felt that his price was very fair.

He is still in the process of remodeling our 3 Season room but so far we love it. He built a maintenance free deck he had quoted us $12,000 for 12x20 but it actually came to $8,000 because he was able to use some of the lumber from the old deck that was still in good condition for the support part of the deck. It is solid and looks great. The 3 season room so far is fairly warm even though it is very cold out but it faces south and gets sun all day. He insulated it very well so we almost don't need a heater out there in the winter. He quoted us $12,000 for that. He does not take payment until work is done and we are satisfied with the job. He has also done smaller jobs like new steps for the cellar, a new door in the garage and some land scapeping. We plan on having him install new windows in the house next spring and any thing else we may need done. He has been the one with the best quotes and you can't beat the reliability and quality of the work. But don't call him yet because I have dibs on him for maybe the next year!(LOL). I will post pictures as soon as he is done with the work.

I have used Gregg Peterson (Husband for a Day) many times over the past eight years for work on my summer home (which I rent when not using it). Gregg Peterson has performed all kinds of odd jobs including: mending furniture, painting, repairing tile work in a bathroom, he has roofed a flat roof, installed flashing, and gutters, etc. He replaced a wood floor after a pipe burst, and has also installed replacement windows and repaired clapboards on the house. (I haven't needed a bathroom or kitchen installed but I have seen work he has done for other people.) I have found him to be dependable and to do good work which is why I continue to use him. He likes to do the job right and does not cut corners or do sloppy work. I have found his prices to be very fair. He will quote a price for the job, or work on an hourly charge. He works mostly alone but for bigger jobs has a partner he can call on. When I call I usually have to leave a message but he calls back within 24 hours. I highly recommend him.
