 + -1 moregood. They recommended an under coating for my car, which was really too late it was too old. I just wish the other places I took it to had have recommended an under coat previously , It might have helped.

 + 0 moreI called on a Saturday morning, as I was overdue on my state inspection, and they gave me an appointment that day. I arrived a bit early, but they were running a bit late. Their waiting area was comfortable - had games and books for the kids, a clean restroom, and coffee and vending machines. Close enough to walk to food or shopping if that's what you want to do, too.
Description of Work: Inspected my car on a Saturday, made small repairs but I opted to have the major repair done by my regular mechanic.

 + 0 moreA classic case of a young woman being taken advantage of by sleazy auto mechanics. A twenty something young woman is told that the replacement battery that her 2000 Buick takes is a "special" battery that costs $200! After $25 installation fee is added, shop fees of $15 (who knows, what for???) & taxes are added, she pays $250! The battery is a generic Midas battery, cost at any auto parts store, about $100-110, where it will be installed free of charge; Auto Zone, Advance Auto, Bond Auto all install batteries free of charge. When the counter people at Midas where confronted with their obvious overcharges, they were rude & very threatening.
Description of Work: Sold and installed a new battery for $250!

 + 0 moreIf they give you an estimate of repair work that they propose, take that written estimate to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion. Don't have Midas do the work. I assure you that it either doesn't need to be done or it can be done for less elsewhere. I don't trust them as far as I can spit.
Description of Work: Went to Midas for state inspection because I had a $10off coupon. They found that two of the lights were out and the car wouldn't pass until they were fixed. When I asked how much that would be, they said $65! That's $25 for inspection & $40 for two bulbs that cost $8 in a parts store! I went to the parts store, put in the bulbs myself (cost= $8) and went back to get my insp. sticker.
