The photographer in the Barre, VT studio was excellent and the resulting photos were outstanding.
My complaint is on the business end with the Beltramis. At no time did anyone meet with me to describe their service or its limitations. I expected to be able to purchase digital photos and allow the extended families to purchase the same. That is not the Beltrami experience! You must purchase film processed photos at an exorbitant cost (they would really like you to buy that oil wall portrait!). You are required to sign a statement that the photos are owned by the Studio and you will not copy them. When I said I would pay for the right to the digital photos I was told that the charge was $1,000 per print. As there were 12 different poses I wanted, the cost would have been $12,000. After much wrangling while the Studio kept the photos of my family and I missed all opportunity to provide them as Christmas gifts, I eventually paid about $1500 for eight photos, but none of my children have any of them. We had only limited access to over 90 shots of my family - all of which have now been deleted and are lost to us.
Please consider your options. The Beltramis believe that they are the best in New England. They are good, but the best in my estimation are those local photographers who can meet the needs of their customers and whose business practices are based in the 21st century. In my mind that is not the Beltrami Studio and I advise that you shop around.
