Excellent. Brian did a beautiful job on this project. The tongue and groove deck boards are smooth and perfectly aligned. The railing is expertly matched to the existing railing and the steps are solid as a rock. Brian and Jess are like sculptors in the way they carefully measure and complete their work.  Even their "workshop on wheels" is highly organized.  Brian was very good at communicating with us regarding each step of the project. 

The entire experience with Brian and Jess on the completion of our deck was fantastic.  The process started with Jess stopping by to look over  the scope of the project - he took pictures, provided clear feedback on what would be needed, and gave us several options to estimate in terms of materials.  He promptly delivered a clear estimate breaking down exact materials and the associated labor.  We traded a few emails to work out the exact options we were looking for.  He responded quickly to each message sent during this process (and was in regular communication through the entire project by email, phone, and text).  After evaluating estimates we decided to go with Jess.  He immediately provided us a start date less than a month in the future.
The week before the project was to start Jess contacted us to let us know that some unexpected work was delaying his ability to start our project on time. The start date was delayed by a week, but Jess was honest and apologetic about the slight delay.  The crew showed up at 8am on the communicated start date and quickly set up their stuff.  They did not waste time getting started and within the first day they had torn down the old deck and poured the footers for the new deck.
The entire project only took a week. At the end of every day all materials and equipment were cleaned up and stored nicely at the project site. Jess and team were especially aware of my children and took measures to make sure that when they were done for the day the site was safe and we were aware of any hazards to stay away from (e.g. putting up yellow tape to show us that the railings were not complete).  During the installation of the new door Jess noticed that the slider did not close easily and had to be held to latch it.  He took the time to call the manufacturer to understand if this was intended function or if this was a defect.  The team finished the project by doing terrific, detailed finish work and trim.
At the end of the project there was no sign that the crew had even been here with all materials, debris, and equipment cleaned up.  The final invoice was delivered the week following the project and clearly detailed all material and labor costs tying it back to the original estimate line by line.  The final cost was just under the original estimate amount.  We could not be happier with the final result and Jess and Brian were incredible professionals throughout the entire process.
