ANDY'S AUTO REPAIR

Each time we go, Andy is ready for us. When we call for an appointment he always remembers us which is really nice. We highly recommend Andy. The friend that referred us to him has all his work done there including his daughter. (We tend to worry more about our kids). Andy has a great set up, always has what he needs for a job and just a good guy. Thank you Andy.

There was a small additional cost for an unanticipated issue (had to drill out a stuck nut) but otherwise all seemed to go well and work was finished per forecast schedule. Of note, Andy also provided me a complimentary ride to/from business.
Most importantly, Andy seems like a very honest and capable mechanic with many years of experience and I believe he has very competative prices which I suspect would be hard to beat in the local area.

The last time Andy worked on my car, he replaced the alternator. Turns out a few days later the problem came back and as unusual as it is, he realized the alternator was defective. He called the parts company and got a replacement free of charge and we dealt with none of the headache.

I often don't feel strongly enough about a business or individual to wholeheartedly recommend them to others, especially here on Angie's List. But when it comes to auto mechanics I have absolutely no trepidation in recommending Andy Champine of Andy's Auto Repair. Located at 278 Hedgerow Drive off Rte. 7/Shelburne Road (near the Christmas Loft) , Andy runs a full-service,one-bay garage next to his home that is perhaps Shelburne's best kept secret. I have taken many cars to Andy over the years, for everything from mere inspections and oil changes to major engine and transmission work, and found him to be the most competent and trustworthy mechanic I have ever met. He never does unnecessary work on a car. This--combined with his reasonable rates--have saved me hundreds if not thousands of dollars over time. If he can fix something rather than replace it, he does. If someone else can fix it easier or cheaper, he recommends them. He explains his work in a friendly, informative manner that keeps you in-the-loop and makes any repair decisions easy.
