everytime i stepped on my brakes while stopping at a red light, my 1956 chevy convertible would shake side to side. i drove it into midas to diagnose the problem. the mechanic took me under the car and showed me what was causing it. The mechanics name is was stan. very nice guy and patient with all my questions. he explained my options. i asked him how long it would take to change my rotors as i had to be at work in an hour. he said, give me 20 minutes. he changed them and it stops on a dime.

On the morning my son was heading back to college I drove his car to get gas and discovered that I couldn't wash the dirty windshield with fluid, so I assumed the resevoir was empty. To my dismay, I discovered that it was full, but when I tried to squirt it, nothing happened. I was sure that the motor was burned out, so I frantically called Midas and asked if they could look at the car that morning, since my son was due to rendevous with some other classmates so as to carpool. They were wonderful about saying that they'd squeeze us in if he'd bring the car up and wait with it. Within a few minutes they discovered there was a blockage in the line that they cleared, and it worked perfectly without a new motor. They could have easily told my son that the motor needed to be replaced and we would have believed it, since that's what I told them was wrong with it when I called. Not only did they not try to take advantage of us, they didn't even charge my son because they said they really hadn't done anything significant. It is great when you find a garage and mechanics that aren't out to take advantage of the customer. They are my "go to garage" now!
