I worked with John Lupien from the beginning of the project through the end. He was always prompt and arrived on schedule. He provided detailed written estimates of the project. The cost was about 40 percent higher than the other estimate I received, but John assured me he was more familiar with the product that I was having installed and the end result would be more professionally done if I went with his company. The project went as planned and the workers were professional, and with the exception of leaving their cigarette butts in my yard, I was pleased with the work. The project was completed in the fall of 2012. During the winter I noticed water freezing and pooling on the turf causing an unsafe situation for my dogs. In the spring I noticed after it rained that fine silt and mud washed down the rocks adjacent to the turf and left a large amount of clay like mud. I sent pictures to John and he proposed excavating out the area on top of the rocks and replacing it with large aggregate. Additionally, he proposed adding a drainage ditch from the area through the adjacent lawn and into the pasture below. This would cost and additional 2307 dollars. He also re-graded the area under the pet turf and fixed the areas around the border where erosion had occurred. He assured me that this would solve the problems. I was not happy about the added cost and felt that he should have been able to foresee the issues but having already invested thousands of dollars in the project I was committed to making the area a useable space. I noticed today that the mud is back and the added drainage ditch is now clogged with mud and not functional. The water is pooling and the area is again unusable as it is covered in mud. I have contacted the company and have yet to hear back. Additionally, I came home to find the gate leading to the area was detached from the post. The screws that were used to attach the gate had sheared off. To say that I extremely disappointed in this company would be an understatement. I will amend the review if they make any attempt to rectify these issues.
