I bought a new 2014 Forester that was built with faulty piston rings at The Car Store in Norwich, VT. Two other dealerships gave me the run around, lied to me, played delay tactics. Somebody suggested I try Twin City. I had an oil consumption test done and they were honest, responsive and dealt with it. I have a new engine at no cost to myself.

After my experience with Burlington Subaru I called Twin City. Total oppisite response. Twin City also explained the process; the same as Burl Sub but I was told they were very likely to have the part needed in stock and if not I would have a loaner car free of charge until the car could be worked on if deemed unsafe to drive. A+ right there. The area to wait for the 3 or so hours was comfortable with free wifi and coffee, tea or even juice for anyone with little ones.
When the work was done they had looked it all over and found $2000 worth of work that needed to be done. I said thanks and went to my mechanic (Mark's auto) and had it done for half. Mark also told me the part made the car unsafe and he got me right in the next week. I don't recall TC telling me it wasn't safe to be driving much more.
My issue I have with them which has me undecided as to whether I'd go back is that my cruise controll was working when the part was faulty, as much as the car permiitted. ( the check engine light was on off and on and when it was the cruise would not work).
When the CE light was off the cruise worked fine. After the part was replaced the cruise felt like it wasn't getting the right amount of fuel and surged until it would just click off. I was told by them after having to pay over $50 for them to check it; that it was the bad bearings I had on the right front. Replaced and still not working. I replaced the left front and all tires and still not working. I don't feel confident that it wasn't the part that TC replaced but don't have the time to drive back and forth or wish to spend the money for gas and their rate to have it looked at again. So I'm not bothering with the cruise which I was really looking forward to being able to use when I purchased the car.

The service department did the routine check with an oil change in the time they had quoted. I was informed of any future replacement parts for the next service. The employees are very thorough, respectful and courteous. There is a shuttle if I had needed to be somewhere else during the work time. The waiting area has a TV, popcorn, doughnuts and beverage area. It is clean and very comfortable.

Had problem on hospital hill= loss of power, stalled at light. towed to twin city Subaru as or mechanic was out of town. They got the car in latter that day and started the and quot;evaluationand quot;. That was Tuesday, Thursday I called and they said it would be ready the next Wednesday, they were rebuilding the engine. The following Tuesday I called for an update, and was told that the Wednesday time was when the evaluation would be done. It was completed and the engine would need to be replaced. they proceeded to replace the engine (They first said it was a 50,000 mi but turned out to be a 70,000 mi). the car was ready 8/23 and after we picked it up we realized that the inspection sticker was an 8. We went back to KC'S performance to get a new inspection sticker.

Jim Glassford was an amazing salesman and Twin City really worked to get us our new Forester. I would recommend Jim to anyone, he really worked hard to get us the deal!
