The owner, Luke, and his staff were able to give us an accurate written, itemized estimate within a few days of our inquiry. They were easy to talk to and explained exactly what their plan would be to fix out decaying chimney.
Originally, my husband was going to seal the chimney after the work was done, but Luke offered to do it for us for only the cost of the materials (we already knew how much materials would have cost us by doing it ourselves) so we immediately agreed since his price was more than fair!
We also originally did not plan to have our front porch steps and stone worked on, but they were so knowledgeable about the chimney repair and the advertising on their truck mentioned stonework, so I asked their advice about it. Luke gave me a quote of only $40 to fix both issues & I don't think I could have even bought the supplies/materials for that amount!
Since the stairs are about 20 years old, I never thought the new cement patch would even come close to matching, but Luke took extra time and effort to make sure it did.
Part of the job was to cap the unused flues and they had to return to do that. I did have to contact them a couple of times to remind them to do that, but once Luke said he could be there on a certain time & date, he even showed up during a stow storm to do it! Without me mentioning it, he brushed the snow away from the porch to check how the stone/cement work was holding up (perfectly, we both agreed).
I feel lucky to have found this company since they could not have done a better job, been more professional, or cleaned up after themselves any more meticulously. I had got a much higher estimate form another company (well over $1,000), not including the porch repairs or sealing of the chimney.
