Doug Hodge

Failed to complete contract. Improper installation of rain gutters resulting in over flow of water causing erosion of soil around foundation. Failed to install flashing around chimney causing water to leak in under Steel roof panels. Failed to install flashing on gable where garage roof meets the side of house causing water to leak in under steel roof panels. Failed to install a boot over vent pipe causing leaks. Steel panels are fastened down on wood strapping which will rot in time if continually soaked. Snow guards are improperly installed. we did not pay $1200 for gutter covers that he turned upside down and forced into gutters. We had to pay for someone to take them out. They were holding debris. Paid $20,000 for a roof that is a nightmare in every way. Have contacted Attorney Generals office regarding a scam against two seniors. He will not make anything right.

When we met and drew up the contract we agreed to 1/2 down we paid him nearly 14 thousand dollars (which we found out was way to much if it was 1/2)he then just barely has the roof started over the deck and informs me he needs more money or hes pulling his crew thus breaking his contract he has not returned calls or text prior to this to answer questions. we dont know from day to day if they will be here and the longest day they have put in is 5 hours when i finally got to speak to him his response was whatever. He also told us we would get a itemized bill then said he does not do that after we gave him 14k he also told us it would take 2 weeks it has been 2 weeks and they are not even 1/2 done. so we are contacting an attorney as of tomorrow against doug hodges for breaking his contrack and over charging us. Beware Edit: terrible from day 1 no communication from him once we handed him money we didnt exsist any more it seemed. 4 hour work days then demanded more money or he was pulling his crew which he did and one of them quit on him because of his practics with customers there are many that doug has screwed over just wish i had know this prior to hiring the swindler

They did a good job, they got it done sooner than i expected. They were on time and they cleaned up afterwards and they were very polite and pleasant!

The service went very well. He was very good to deal with.

Had some roofing work done and was very satisfied with the results.

He did a free estimate as promised, started and finished when he said he would, and the crew was very courteous and made sure they picked everything up, including nails. They are overall a nice bunch to work with. There were no hidden fees afterwords, and he came in right at budget.

He came with 2 helpers and got the windows done in 1 day.    Left screws in the garden.  One window was not put in level.   We had a defect in 1 window and called Doug several times but he never returned any of our calls.  So, we had to get the window direct from the Harvey factory and put it in ourselves.

The worst work I have ever seen!  We found out half way through the winter there was a leak in our skylight, and half of the shingles on the back of the house were all wrinkled/bubbled.  When we finally reached him (almost a year later) he told us to file a claim with our insurance to have it fixed!!!  We had a friend of ours who does roofing professionally look at it and Doug Hodge and his "roofers" put NO flashing around the skylight.....only some caulking at the top!  We also discovered that he did not put ANY flashing in the miuddle section of our house and it began to leak during the hard rain earlier this year.....I called him and left a message in June or July.....I am still waiting for him to return my call.  Also while his hired men were tearing off the old roof they didn't put down any tarps so all the old shingles and nail were all over our fron t and back lawn......they didn't even clean up at the end of the day!  Needless to say we are still finding old roofing nails when we mow the lawn!  I would not recommend him to ANYONE!
