he and his 2 man crew came on the appointed day, the dumpster being delivered that morning to hold the old roofs. they then spread cloths to catch the old roofs and took off the old roofs. two people were involved in removing the roof while one person hauled the debris to the dumpster. they finished one side the first day, put a vapor barrier over the whiteboard and then put the 2 by fours strapping onto the roof. he also had to remove my satellite dish from my roof and this was done keeping the wires intact. at the end of the day the ground was entirely cleaned up and in fact my porch was swept clean of the very small amount of debris that landed there.







the second day the roof on the other side was remove and the vapor barrier and strapping put down. and the steel put on one side.







the third day the steel was continued to be installed and the job would have finished except that the steel supplier did not put the stipulated sheets in the delivered load and so the job was completed when the required sheets were delivered (~3 days later.)







the job also entailed replacing some trim that had rotted and was nicely done as Michael is also a carpenter.







both Michael and his crew were both very courteous and professional during the entire job and it was quite pleasant to have them working around my house.







they also exhibited an attention to detail and an intelligence in their work that was both satisfying and reassuring. I also felt that if we ran into any unexpected problems their experience in carpentry would lend itself well to fixing the problem.







I would definitely give Michael, his team, and the job he performed and quot;two thumbs upand quot;

I spoke to Fred and asked him for an estimate in June 2011. He quoted me $7300 for all the work to be done, plus any unforseen woodwork that needed to be replaced once the old roofing was removed. I saved the money up over a year's time and he began work in early autumn 2013. By this time the price of materials had increased but that was to be expected. Fred removed the old roof, replaced what woodwork was needed and finished the whole job in just over 2 weeks. He did fabulous work and the increase over the quote was only $700 which was still far less than I had feared. Fred does awesome work and I would recommend him to anyone who needs top quality roofing done.
