Electrical Service
Lowe's subcontracted to Wingler and Sons Construction, who in turn subcontracted to Higher Power. To be clear - I paid over $6,000 to Lowe's for the project. My dealings were only with Lowe's. Wingler and Sons has since gone bankrupt. I received multiple calls from the Higher Power office staff, including one from Mr. Payne himself, asking me to follow up with them. I provided the phone numbers for both the Lowe's project manager and Wingler during each phone call with Higher Power, but ultimately could not do anything for them as (again), my dealings are with Lowe's Home Improvement. Mr. Payne informed me during my last call with him that he would be placing a lien on my home for the cost of the labor ($1892.00). I objected, stating that I'd paid Lowe's and that the situation with Wingler (while unfortunate) is not my responsibility. He filed the lien anyway. I contacted Lowe's, who sent Mr. Payne a cease and desist letter. Today I find that the lien is still active. I am very dismayed, as I was very happy with the work provided and was impressed with the gentlemen who did the installation. Unfortunately, Mr. Payne is insisting that I pay him an additional $1897 for work that I have already paid Lowe's for. I have another call into Lowe's today and hope to resolve this once and for all, but I am very angry about Mr. Payne continuing to harass me for funds that he knows I do not owe him.
