We were thrilled with the tiles, price and most of all the excellent job Joe did in installing the tiles. Also, we were pleasantly surprised when he actually called us to tell us he was going to be late and when to expect him. This is unusual for this area we are finding. I am recommending Essex Paint and Carpet any chance I get!

After a terrible experience trying to work with a large box store, I turned to a local company and I learned a big lesson about quality. First, Essex Paint and Carpet has great hours. I was able to call them in the morning before I went to work because they open at 7:00 AM. I appreciated this as I can't always make calls from work. I also was able to get an appointment for the next Saturday morning for an estimate. I worked with Liz the whole time from the estimate to arranging the install to the payment. Liz spent an hour and a half with me to help me pick the right choice carpet at the right price point. She also helped me find a really nice, high quality remnant vinyl for the entryway. This looked great and helped save some costs. Our home is a custom contemporary with lots of nooks and crannies and small odd shaped closets. The installer was such a seasoned professional and was able to finish off everything very nicely, even the oddly shaped rounded steps. In the end, it was the best service, install, and for almost the same price as a big box store we got top of the line quality carpet in a color that I just love. I was so relieved that I didn't have to settle for something I would see in my home every day. I am very, very happy with Essex Paint and Carpet and look forward to going back to them for future projects!

We came down from Maryland  on a Wednesday to visit my mother in her Shelburne condo. The Thursday breakfast conversation centered around carpeting.  By 10 that morning we were in Essex Junction, at Essex Paint & Carpet, talking with Larry.  We explained the situation, we were only in town through the weekend and we wanted to re-carpet and replace the vinyl in my mother's condo.  In just over an hour we had selected the carpet and vinyl, and since the products were in stock, Larry said we could have it all done by Sunday. We hurried home and started moving furniture, books (a LOT of books!), etc.  Larry and crew showed up early Friday, tore up  and replaced the vinyl in the kitchen and went to work on the carpeting. They had the entire downstairs done that day.  They came back early Saturday and had the whole job done by 4 that afternoon.  The staff and crew from Essex Paint & Carpet were totally prompt, professional and top notch.  I would HIGHLY recommend them for any flooring job in the area.  We were so very impressed with the price and quality of the work they provided. Kudos to Larry and crew at Essex Paint & Carpet!

Their sales people were very professional and very helpful. The installation took a little bit longer than expected, which seems to be normal in the contracting world. They did a good job. I did call them for some issues because there were some gaps in some parts, but they did come back and filled that in, and made that right.

The service was excellent. They are very professional. The installer definitely was top shelf.

We went to their store location in Essex (after going to Lowe's and other flooring/tile stores) to see how they could help us. Right from the start, we were impressed! Liz was most helpful and really seemed to care about what we wanted. She was well adept about flooring and showers, and took the time to make sure we got what we wanted. The sub-contractor they sent to do the install was most professional, and a very pleasant, honest, and hard working. He did a great job for us! The price for the job was very reasonable, and fair. We didn't feel ripped-off, like some of the work we've had done. I will be recommending Essex Paint and Carpet. I like the fact they're a local business that's been around for a long time, and won't be closing up shop any time soon.

We went to the showroom and spoke with Larry. We had approximate dimensions and he suggested we use 15 ft wide stock so that it could be installed without a seam. The selection was sufficient that we found something we liked. We made a downpayment. To prepare we removed all of the furniture in the room and took up the baseboards. Larry handled the installation including removal and disposal of the old carpet and putting carpet on the stairs. The work was done when promised and the results were great.

Very good overall, highly recommended. Good pricing, very good install. Ask for Sal to do your tile install. This was the 2nd time he installed tile at my house via Essex Paint and Carpet and did a flawless job again.. He is an expert and wants the install to look good for his own satisfaction in addition to yours.
