Dan Bushey Paving Inc

July 2014 - Dan and his crew just finished paving our driveway and we couldn't be happier with the job they did for us! We have a fairly long driveway with a dooryard (and island) and a detached garage with a fairly large apron. Because of all the edges, odd shapes, the shared entrance with a neighbor at the roadside, drainage challenges, two trenches for passage of conduit, sheer size, and a discriminating owner it was a complex job requiring finely-tuned logistics, challenging problem-solving, and a strong commitment to customer service. Dan did an outstanding job of juggling all of that and the results are remarkable. His edges are beautiful, we have greatly improved and effective drainage, and it all is aesthetically pleasing. They started work soon after agreeing to the job, were fully engaged with it until it was done, and were totally committed to doing it right. We couldn't ask for more and recommend him without reservation to anyone looking for a quality job.

It was done in a day and my neighbor was so pleased with the job he did for us, that he had his done by Dan as well.

It went great.

This was made difficult by the fact than this driveway was used daily
by a number of residents with no alternative access to a rear parking
lot. I solicited (3) estimates for the job, and ended up going with Dan
Bushey's because I had worked with him before and found him to be
trustworthy and competent. I was not disappointed; Dan worked the job
into his schedule. A period of time passed (3-4 weeks) with very little
communication, which might not sit well with some, but I trusted Dan to
get it done. He did so with several days advance notice, starting a 7:00
AM and completing work by 2:30 P.M. in plenty of time for returning
commuters to use the driveway. The work turned out better than expected,
the cost was exactly as quoted. I would recommend this contractor.

Dan came out and provided an estimate, and discussed the layout. We hadn't thought of extending the culvert (and our driveway space), and liked the idea. Prep work (adding/compacting stone, adding piece of culvert) was done, and the paving completed a couple of weeks afterwards, when everything had settled. The driveway really came out nice, we're pleased with the quality of the work.My only issue with the whole process was that we got our estimate in May, accepted it a day or two later, and got a call back saying they'd be back in 2-3 weeks. This wasn't the case; they didn't come back until July. I would have been fine with the job being completed in August if they had just said that in the first place. Dan DID call us in early July, saying he was trying to get out and get the job done; from the point of that call, they were on-site fairly soon. But at that point, we'd tried to get in touch with them a couple of times, and had left messages, with no return info.So: The estimate gave us options we didn't know we had, quote was fair, happy with the job, when we talked to Dan things were fine. It was just difficult to get in touch with them, and I wish we hadn't had an unrealistic expectation set early on.

Met with Dan Bushey and received a written estimate. Mr Bushey comes off as a professional interested in doing a good job. That is not the case. They completed the driveway. It began having problems with cracking and potholes within the first 60 days. I reported the problem to Dan Bushey. He gave me one excuse after another but assured me that the problems would be corrected. Long story short... He strung me along until the one year warranty expired and then refused to correct the problems.
