awful, awful, awful.  No communication.  Typical contractor who had 10 jobs going, promised to have ours done in 2 weeks and 3 months later was completed.  He hired outside plumbers and electricians who were not talented.  Had to have them re-do much of the work.  Sloppy with everything.  Hired to do some other trim work and finish work in our house and I told them to forget it and just get the bathroom done so I never had to see them again.  In the end it's been a few years and our brand new toilet gets clogged all the time, bathtub doesn't drain, all the caulking around the tub came off and we now have mold issues.  The trim work looks like it was stopped midway and never picked back up again, have warping in our drywall (bubbles?)  Wouldn't even give us the left over paint to touch up or the tile.  We had been renovating our house for 5 years and this was so awful and a waste of 10K.  Just the worst work you could possibly ever have done to your house.

I hired Blue Ridge Construction to gut and remodel my bathroom; reshingle my roof; and rip up the old paved driveway to replace drain pipes and then repave. They were to start on Sept. 22nd and work every day until the job was done. Mr. Rolland never went to the City to sign the paperwork needed until 10:30 am on the 22nd. They had two weeks to do the bathroom ? they were to leave the toilet in and hooked up so I could stay there. The first day all they did was turn the water off to the tub and sink. When I got home the toilet was running full blast - if I hadn?t gotten there when I did it would have overflown. I called Mr. Rolland that night and told him. The next day when I got home there was a mess on the carpet downstairs under the bathroom and the carpet was all wet. I had specifically requested that they cover the floors to prevent any damage to the carpet (I even left tarps for them to use but they neglected to use anything to cover the carpet). They had gutted most of the bathroom. They broke the bottom off one of my cupboards when they took it out ? it was to be reinstalled. On the 24th the electrician was there for a while but nothing else was done. On the 25th and 26th no one showed up at all to work on my home. When I arrived home from work on the 29th I found two men and a woman coming out of my house. They said that they had had a problem and that my house got flooded. I asked where Mr. Rolland was and was told that he had gone home. I found out later on that the two men were plumbers and the woman was one of the plumber?s girlfriends. I called Mr. Rolland and asked him to bring some large fans to my home (to help dry it out) but he didn?t until the next day. I worked all night cleaning up the mess ? they had ripped out my carpet in my downstairs hall. My upstairs hall was soaked; my cellar was flooded; and a quilt (family heirloom) that I had hanging on my wall was stained. I had to stay home from work the next day to work on it. In the meantime they had started on my driveway and that was all torn up. It was the driveway crew that discovered the water overflowing from my toilet inside. I don?t know why they were in my house but the plumbers had left the toilet running again and that?s what caused the flooding. The carpet in my spare room was wet again and they had unplugged my dehumidifier in the basement. That day the plumber changed the toilet. I had a neighbor come over and take some pictures. I called my insurance company and the City (because my loan was through them). On Sept. 30th I told Mr. Rolland that I did not want them continuing on the work until I spoke with the City. The lady from the City talked me into continuing with him because it would be too hard to find someone to take over now. Mr. Rolland was to start work again on Oct. 2nd. On that day I got a bill from him for $8,000 for what had been done so far. The total cost for all three jobs was to be $13, 185. The
