I highly recommend Rene. He's very skilled and very nice. He has fixed both large and small jobs in our 100 year old house. He's efficient, reasonably priced, responsive and a pleasure to talk with.

Rene is the best. He's skilled, fast, kind, and affordable. He even brought us a pie the first visit--and donuts this most recent visit. He's old-school in all the best ways.

Rene came over on a Sunday to help us with a leaking toilet. He fixed the problem quickly, was very reasonably priced, and was very friendly. We'll definitely call him in the future if we need a plumber.

Rene was very professional, and the work was done promptly. In fact, he dropped by beforehand to verify the parts that were required, so he'd be prepared on the day of service. Loved the pie, as well! We will definitely be calling Rene again.

Excellent Job! RB Plumbing was easy to contact. Sheila Brosseau answers the phone and is friendly and very efficient. Rene Brosseau called me back the same day I called to get more details on the job and came to assess the problem in person within a day or so. When Rene took a look, he discovered the cause of the leak within 5 minutes and scheduled a time for repair at my convenience. Rene is obviously experienced. He does careful, neat work, shows up when he says he will come and takes the time to do a good job - no shortcuts. Rene's business card says DEPENDABLE SERVICE, REASONABLE RATES. I found this to be Very True! I Have hired a number of plumbers over the years and the excellent ones are extremely valuable. Rene brings his brother for 2 man jobs and his other brother answers the phone sometimes - I have always gotten a live person when calling.

I contacted RB plumbing, based on good reviews here, to replace a failing hot water heater in my house. Owner Rene promptly returned my call, gave me some recommendations, and prepared a verbal quote. After scheduling a date, Rene and his assistant Bob arrived at the agreed upon time with the new tank, donuts, and a still warm blueberry pie (it was great but I'll try not to let it influence this review). I watched closely as Rene and Bob worked quickly and proficiently to get the work done in just an hour or two. Its clear that these guys have been in business a long time and really know what they are doing -- I'll definitely contact them when
it comes time to replace my boiler.  I probably could have shopped around for a better price, but I'm glad I didn't -- these guys are professionals with a great work ethic (and they're just really pleasant guys too).

Rene and his brother, John, were great --- always professional but also easy going and friendly. Even brought treats for my dogs!

After calling 4-5 plumbers that advertised having weekend service, Rene was the only one to call back on a Sunday night (less than 10 minutes after leaving a message). He arrived quickly and was able to replace the broken pieces in the toilet tank easily. He also changed where our water shut off valve was located so that it would be easy to get to in the future. He had everything done in less than an hour and didn't even charge us a higher rate for coming out on a Sunday night. We will call him again if we need a plumber and highly recommend him.

I had my upstairs toilet break causing it to rain in my kitchen. Rene came out and looked at the problem, and we decided that instead of just trying to fix the old toilet it was time to replace it. So since we were going to do that we might as well replace the vanity too. And since we were going to do that lets replace the fixtures in the downstairs powder room. He called me back with the quote and a few days later was back at my house to do the work. He arrived with his brother and, after presenting me with a delicious pie, they got to work. They were a pleasure to have in my house. The job was done efficiently and meticulously. And I definitely plan to have Rene back to re-do my master bedroom.

Rene and I met face to face twice. First time when he visited our house to evaluate the job and second time to perform the job after hiring him to do the work. Both times he was right on schedule at expected time. He returns phone calls promptly as well. He is most professional in all aspects of his craft. I would hire him again no question. As with all his new customers Rene brought a fresh baked pie and pastry to our home the morning of scheduled work. He is very personable extremely well mannered and consummate professional.Your in need of a plumber then Rene is your man.

Rene was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He came over to diagnose the problem and quote the job on his own time (in the evening after finishing another job) to accommodate my schedule. He quoted the job within days and gave great details about why the cost was what it was.
Rene was right on time to do the work he quoted. He was kind enough to bring pastries for breakfast, a pie for my pregnant wife and even dog biscuits for my puppy!
I was nice to see a craftsman take such pride in the work that he performs. He did excellent work and fixed the problem that my wife and I had been struggling with for 4 years!

They are careful to not get any dirt or water anywhere in your house. They clean up after themselves. And they do the job so well - flawless. Price is great, too. I will always call RB Plumbing from now on. I just wished I'd discovered them 10 years ago :).

This job was a long process that started back in June when he looked at our old system and ordered a hot water heater that met the required specifications for a rebate from VT Gas. He found a system and ordered it, which 3 weeks to deliver. When he received it, he found a dent in the tank. He called the hot water heater company and told them it was shipped to him in an unacceptable condition. He told us about the dent in the first hot water heater and that he returned it to the company. So we waited another 3 weeks for a new hot water heater. Rene did not charge us for all the time he spent getting us the right product, which he didn't have to do but he was kind enough to do.
Rene had all the other paper work ready for us and was patient with me as I tried to line up all the paperwork I needed from him for the rebate.
When he came to our house to install the system, he was so professional and even gave us a Dutch apple pie before he started the work. He and his brother started the installation and they started to realize the tank was the right size, but the height was greater than expected. Rene called up an engineer to come by and see what could be done, and it was concluded that he could still hook up the system but we will need to hire a chimney person to drill a hole to our chimney for proper ventilation from the tank to vent. The problem was the angle the vent hose was at.
In the end, Rene stuck with his original estimate and we feel he was truly professional and honest with us. We will definitely use his services again, especially in the near future for a boiler.

i was visiting my elderly mom from out of state and her main caregiveer, my sister, said she was trying to find time to schedule a plumber in, but working full time, she hadn't been able to do it and didn't want someone there when my sister couldn't be there. so i checked angies list and a local forum where neighbors can recommend service people. RB Plumbing had high recommendations on both lists so i called. When Rene called back, I knew he was as good as the recommendations just from his cheerful tone of voice and willingness to work out a time when I was going to be there to check out the things that needed fixing. once he did and gave me an estimate, we set up a time for him to do the work. he and his brother arrived right on time and were extremely efficient, professional, and clean in doing the work. they were more than willing to work around the personal care attendant who was fixing mom's breakfast, etc, and very respectful of my mom's privacy in a small house. as far as i can tell the work was done very well, and the price was okay too
AND they brought a half dozen donuts from Mazzas! how cool is that. it made my mom's day as Mazzas cider donuts are her favorite. Rene said he tries to bring them on all his morning jobs as it doesn't take much time or money on his part but it makes the customer happy so why not do it. what a great attitude! don't you wish every service person you hired was as nice as that.
from my own experiences hiring plumbers in our houses in the past, i believe the price was fair, but i am not that familiar with local plumbing prices. still it was two people there for about 2 hours or more, so it seems about right to me.

I called RB to correct some amatuer plumbing that a disreputable remodel-contractor had done. He checked out the work thoroughly, and corrected what needed to be done (the work as the previous contractor had left it, would have caused major problems down the line). I have used RB in the past, with excellent results. He shows up when he says he will, and does excellent work for a good price.

I called Mr. Brosseau on a Sunday evening and told him we needed to get a new contained hot water tank as we'd just had our house weatherized. He called the next evening (Monday) with the tank info and price he would charge to do the job. We decided to have the job done, and he was able to install the tank the following Friday. He arrived at the agreed-upon time, did the work in the time frame he said, and cleaned up the area. He was very professional, pleasant and fun to talk to.
