I am happy to see that you feel our services are of a high quality and professional in nature, we do strive to provide the most comprehensive and quality care to our patients. I would like to address your concerns about our pricing of products and the services that you believe we are "pushing." It can be very difficult to compete with the pricing set by other pet supply retailers like Petsmart and Petco, big box stores and wholesalers such as Costco. These large companies typically have more buying power and may be able to receive deeper discounts on products which are then passed along to the consumer. Our products are purchased direct from the manufacturer or a licensed distributor, because of that, the price to acquire these products is typically more. We choose to purchase from these sources because these products come with satisfaction guarantees, these guarantees not only protect our practice but they also protect your pet. We also know we are purchasing a quality item which allows us to stand behind the products we sell. It is not always clear where these larger stores are acquiring their products and manufacturers may not stand by their guarantees when purchased from another source other than a veterinarian. In regards to the services that we offer and recommend, the standard of care has changed over the years which has led to more services being offered and recommended, these recommendations are can also be based on the lifestyle of the pet and their age. We stand by and believe in the services we provide and as pet owners ourselves, we utilize these services for our own pets. We also try to communicate as best we can the reasoning behind the services we recommend, but it is ultimately up to the pet owner how much they choose to do.
