Can't remember how I found Jeff, but it was my best contractor find to date. Jeff came by and gave an estimate for the small roof job which was my sole concern to start. I agreed and he scheduled for the next day! Sure enough, he showed up with a small crew and they not only did the job in two hours, but they installed a great rubber roof that I'll never have to worry about again. At a great price too ($500)! While up there, they pointed out some problems with a slate job I had done a couple of years ago. Indeed I knew it was bad, but they were right in highlighting the problems that might be occurring as a result. There was no pressure from them to do the work, just a friendly suggestion that it get done and how they would do it right. I agreed for them to redo the old repair job and added that they repair all slate tiles that were askew or knocked around by storms. A week later, they were up there mending the main roof. They even replaced the plywood underneath the bad patch in the roof and were able to finish the job despite an unfortunate accident in which a worker cut his leg on some falling slate. They installed flashing around the chimney and ensured that not a drop of water would get into trick areas. In the end, all errant slate tiles were fixed. Was extremely happy with this contractor! Very responsive, easy to work with, cleaned up their mess afterwards, found slate to match what I already had, and explained problems and solutions. I'll use these guys again for another roof job next Summer.
