Boucher's Plumbing & Heating

I got a spoon stuck in the garbage disposal. We called Mike late in the afternoon, and he said he'd come by later that evening. However, he did not come by or call us. When we phoned him the next morning, he apologized for not calling and we set an appointment for that day. He came and quickly removed the remainder of the spoon. I mentioned that I would have used an allen wrench (supposedly one came with the disposal) had I had one. Mike said he'd mail us one, but he didn't. I like him a lot, he's very professional, but he didn't follow through. Also, $90 per hour is a lot (although perhaps that's the going rate these days).

I use an awful lot of plumbers, because I own some apartments. But I would recommend him. He comes in and finds a problem. I have and old house and the pipes are not very good and he has never done damage. He is persistent and he follows the problem along until he can solve it. He is not a lot cheaper than other plumbers. I find he is more persistent and willing to solve the problem even if it gets really difficult. When he was doing it, he spent quite a lot of time unclog a drain in a third floor apartment, and what he found was that it was clogged up with hair. It was one of those disgusting problems that old plumbing gets clogged like that sometimes. But he did favor to make a hole in the pipe and end up with what he found. He spends over an hour - probably two hours.
