Bert's Appliance Repair

We came to our home to fix a washer. We told him what was wrong and what was needed and he came to fix it. We thought he was going to fix it that day, but he said that this was a diagnostic appointment. Which is fine so we paid him $165 and he was to come back that week to fix it with the part. He never showed back up. He never returned our call or message.

He came to the house and got the washer's stuck door to open so we could get the wet cloths out. He said it needed parts or it would continue to happen. We paid him while he was at the house. He said he would get back with a quote for the repair indicating, however, that it might not be worth doing. That was over two months ago. We called him and left messages with, over time, increasing frequency hoping he would get the picture and put some priority on getting back to us. He never did return the calls. In summery, he took our money and never finished the job. We have been without a washer for over two months and don't know whether to fix or replace the one we have. Getting the money and not responding seems to be a feature of other negative reviews as well.

Very well. Fixed what he could (one burner needs replacing. Put a temporary fix on the lock lever and fixed the drain on the dishwasher. Will get back to us on the cost of the lever and let us know if it's worth fixing. He is very professional, friendly and the cost was very reasonable.

Bert answered his phone quickly. He showed up on time and had all the parts for an old refrigerator repair. He was honest about what he could and could not do.

After the service man did the work the problem with the refrigerator reoccured. I called him multiple times to let him know about the issue and he responded.

Our washer is now working: though the problem appeared to be the timer, it was actually the motor board. Bert diagnosed the problem, returned the replacement timer, and was able to offer us a motor board at a discounted (used) price. He did this within two visits, and our washer seems to be working fine now. Additionally, because we're new home owners and who've recently relocated, he offered us references for other contractors in the area, including the person we'll be using to install a new furnace. We're really pleased with the work that was done, and the prices that Bert quoted for parts were lower than those quoted by another local appliance repair company.

Great experience. I contacted Bert initially to replace a part in my dishwasher. On the day of our appointment, I realized I could not properly hook up my washer by myself given my limited tools and experience! When Bert arrived (right on time), I asked if he would mind looking at the washing machine too. He did not mind, and was very pleasant and accommodating. While he was here, I broke off two lightbulbs trying to change them. Bert was willing to help with that too, no problem! He also went above and beyond in fixing the dishwasher, leaving it in better shape than he'd found it by fixing the door of it too, unasked!

Bert was at my house at EXACTLY the time he said he would be there. Was very patient about letting me clean and vacuum behind the stove when he pulled it away from the wall. Fixed the stove - no surprises - and we had a nice conversation while he worked. Gone in 1/2 hour. Very professional, very pleasant, very personable, very reasonable rates. I will never call anyone else. His hours are 8am-4:30pm.
