Well, the car overheated in Bethel, and it looked to me like it had lost a lot of fluid. We let it cool down, added some fluid, and took it to Deans. The service is pleasant and responsive and reasonably priced. I like the guys. But the problem is, they identified the issue as a stuck thermostat and actually I had a leaky radiator. I think maybe they didn't look close enough and just figured the car overheated due to a stuck thermostat, causing the fluid to boil and dispense out of the reservoir. So I paid them and 2 days later had to pay someone else to replace my radiator. Coincidental? Maybe. But I'm thinking the radiator was the issue all along and they should have identified this. I had noticed fluid leaking upwards of a month before, but it was hit-or-miss. I'll give them some slack, but I really do think they could have diagnosed it better.

They are friendly, fair and competent and prompt in their service. They have very reasonable prices as well.

My wife and I have been taking our vehicles to Dean's since we moved to Vermont in 2001 (they were recommended by a local person). Norm and his guys have always been very professional and honest with us. Coupled with their reasonable pricing, they are a hard act to beat. My wife and I would be very reluctant to take our vehicles to any other shop.
