In comparing prices to other dealers, private sellers and KBB we realized Wilkins does not overprice their pre-owned bikes. Every bike has a price tag and that IS the price. Once we made a decision to purchase the first bike, we headed to Wilkins. Excited, but dreading the financing process.
Imagining, it would be like buying a car. Negotiating, waiting to talk to the manager, extra stuff would be added, there would be confusion about the final bill, then we would need to call our bank and answer all of their questions and wait for the credit check, and wait some more until we were so sick of being there and stressed that we just couldn't wait to leave.
Their staff REALLY now what they are doing. They are SO focused on accommodating you and moving you through the process that instead of feeling ripped-off (as car dealers sometimes make you feel) you feel thankful that you chose to buy from them.
The finance guy was fantastic. He gathered every bit of information we needed for our credit union, called them (with us) and made all of the arrangements for the check to be electronically sent directly to Wilkins. ( FYI, Wilkins is affiliated with VSECU and are authorized to process their loans). He was very clear in going over the charges. No surprises at all!
Yesterday, our two beautiful bikes were delivered, free of charge from Wilkins, on the date we requested. Regardless, of the 4 inches of wet, fresh snow in our yard, they were delivered on time. We aren't complaining!!
