Within a few months, several shingles blew off the roof, a problem which was repeated multiple times over the next five years.

Each time shingles blew off,  I would call Mr. Foster and ask him to repair the damage. After repeated calls, he would sometimes show up, retrieving the dirty shingles from the ground and reattach them. I don't remember how many times he came, probably three or four, and then he refused to return, stating it was costing him too much money. On several occasions when shingles blew off, I paid my property manager to replace them.... And then I finally hired another roofer to fix the problem.

According to three independent contractors, the shingles had not been nailed properly when originally installed.

In November, 2010, I wrote to Mr. Foster asking him to reimburse me the $500.00 it cost to fix his shoddy work, explaining that If he did not, I would contact the State Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General's office. Mr. Foster did not respond, so I contacted the Consumer Protection Division and we spent over a year trying to resolve the problem. During this process, in a letter dated 11--01-1010, Mr. Foster wrote the Division stating he agreed to pay the $500.00. Multiple attempts by the Consumer Protection Division failed to result in the promised payment. Last December I called and spoke in person with Mr. Foster. He again promised to pay. He has not.

Horrable, didn't show when he told me would. Didn't do what he said he'd do. Tried to charge more than he contracted for. Overpriced and horrable quality.

My only complaint this year was the fact that a young man with no experience was given minimal instruction and then left alone to do the entire job. He was a good worker and completed the job in 2 days. Time will tell if the prep work was adequate.
