Harbin did a great job, and at a reasonable price. I "saved" a bit by handling a few jobs separately, but that was a mistake. It may have been a few bucks cheaper, but the seams between contractors will always be a rough spot (nobody being ugly, just that priorities are not being sorted by a single person). Next time, I'll have Harbin do it all!! Sharon is unbelievably good in managing all the moving parts of an operation!! If I were doing it again, I would insist she run it!!

Excellent experience.  Our POC, Scott, was professional and always responsive.  They had a lock box on the house for easy access but always called the night before coming over.  They handled everything from engineering, pulling permits, and cleaning up.  There was never a mess in my house.  We received three quotes.  One was for $12,000 and two were for $8,000.  We chose Harbin's at $8,000.  The quote was itemized and was based on worst case scenario.  The final bill had a credit of $1500 because neither a steel beam nor additional support under the house was needed.  Great.  Everyone that sees our renovation loves it.
Only gave them a "B" on cost because we were shocked at how much it cost to remove a load bearing wall.  They were not out of line with other quotes.  It is just that if you see it on HGTV they say it costs $2500--who do they hire?

Overall, this provider was arduous to deal with, with poor attention to detail, lousy follow-up, and a continual desire to skimp & cut corners at every single opportunity.    
 They have a full time project manager, who all to often was not "on" the details, and all too often failed to communicate to me simple things, such as what was going on and when key tasks were to occur.    Had this person been under my employ, I'd have fired have fired this person at least 5 times during the project.     I am utterly amazed how this person ever obtained this job and has kept this job.   
The foreman, Brad Harbin, seems to be a hard working fellow, but is spread thin, trying to oversee numerous simultaneous projects.     Thus, he simply is unable to keep up with the details, and as we all know, the devil is in the details.    Hobbled by his bumbling project manager, he is unable to keep up with the details, and I had to expend enormous amounts of personal time in folow-up's with him.    
I've never seen a firm skimp and cut corners so much, just to save nickels and dimes.     I did not expect "gold plating" to occur, but my goodness, these people have the art of skimp down pat.      If there's a corner to be cut, you can bet Harbin Builders has that one already on their to-do list.    
I would have an awfully hard time hiring this firm to do a major (or even minor) project for me in the future.     Just not detail oriented enough and just far too skimpy and corner-cutting.

We watched home go up in the Presson Arbor sub division for 2 years. When it came time to buy and resells did not meet our needs I went with Wayne Harbin. I compared his homes to some other builders and talked to friends about their home building experience. My father is in the construction trade and I walked him through some homes in progress and Wayne passed. About the process. Wayne is a tough negotiator and but a great builder. I brought a design/sketch and worked with his architect to realize my vision. Since I lived close I watched all phases of the process. I stepped in a few times to correct minor errors. Once I was on a trip and a roof/attic error got through. Wayne and I arrived at a compromise that was satisfactory. The quality was first rate and his office team was great (selections, issues, warranty). I give his subs either A or B grades. Site supervisors were helpful. I'm pleased with the home appreciation. Neighbors are equally please with Wayne Harbin Builders.

These guys did exceptional work on our home. The crews were all very nice to us. There has not been one problem with the home and it was about half the price of what the bigger companies would charge.
