We were referred to Dr. Dirmeyer at Salty Paws when our senior dog who has cancer needed a dental procedure. The staff is amazing. We were greeted with a smile and promptly seen. Dr. Dirmeyer put us at ease and went above and beyond to ensure the safety of our precious little "Jelly". We felt like family rather than clients and were very comfortable leaving our beloved dog in their care. Jelly had fantastic care and her dental surgery went very well. I highly recommend using this practice for all of your veterinary needs. We live nearly an hour away and will travel to follow with this clinic. They are exceptional in every way!

They treat my pet very well. We like that they are close to the house and they do a good job.

Absolutely the best vet I have ever been too!  In the past, my vets have done just what they needed to do with a smile on their face's.  That's why I feel Salty Paws is so great.  I feel they went above and beyond and did way more that I ever could've asked from a vet.  My puppy was welcomed and loved from the moment we entered the door.  Then the vet and tech gushed about how cute he was.  Then he was thoroughly examined for things I'm pretty sure my previous vets never looked at.  The vet took the time to play with his feet talk to me about desensitizing and other training.  At the end, I was all the information about what services the clinic offers, what shops my pup would require, info about puppy socialization days, and pamphlets for preventative care and emergency vets.  This is more information than I could have ever asked for or expected.  Thank you so much for your love and care for animals.

Salty Paws is a wonderful veterinary clinic. Their veterinarians ans staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and compassionate to both and pets and pet-owners. I've been a client for 7 years and have never regretted my choice.

Brought my rescue dog in for first veterinary visit and check up. Everyone was super nice to my dog and very thorough and professional. I am glad we chose Salty Paws as our veterinary office.

We brought our three dogs and two cats to Salty Paws for the decade we lived in Virginia.
We love our pets with an unparalleled intensity and we always trusted the staff at Salty Paws to care for them and for us. That alone is testament enough.
I am confident that we personally financed someone's salary while we were clients between the annual exams, nail trims, dog-bite sutures, arthritis treatments, thyroid testing, anxiety medications, incontinence testing, lipoma surgeries, cancer diagnosis, UTIs, and quot;happy tailand quot; incident, ear infections, teeth cleaning, spaying/neutering, and medications with a capital M.
With these myriad of issues, we always felt our pets were cared for and that we were listened to as we navigated pet ownership. We saw Dr. Dirmeyer, Dr. Blessing and Dr. Fannin interchangeably and enjoyed and respected them all. Tatum and Mariah were always fabulous in caring for our pets and enduring Buster's nail trims (he was always a and quot;2and quot;). We asked a lot of questions and pushed to ensure we were getting what we needed for our pets. I know that at times we were difficult as we struggled with the diagnosis of cancer in our oldest dog. Everyone was always patient with us and offered us several options as we moved forward. We appreciated that during a very difficult time in our lives.
They are a top notch crew at Salty Paws; with the latest technology (I miss the Pet Portal) and knowledge of treatments. They also give back to the community by participating in food drives, fundraisers for the SPCA (Paws for a Cause) and other local shelters.
We miss them immensely and would recommend them to everyone.

Salty Paws Veterinary Hospital is just awesome. We had a dog about a year and a half ago and Dr. Blessing was his vet and he was actually put to sleep there and they were just awesome to deal with. Their care, they know the dog's name when they come in and you feel like they really care about your dog or cat.

Our dog seemed happy and was clean when he was picked up.

My bulldog overdid it at the dog park and came home limping. I wasn't sure what to do so off to the vet we went. Upon arrival we waiting no more than three minutes before we were created and taken back for exam, At Salty's the nice thing is that they tell you how much everything will cost before the service is provided. The tech let me know that the Vet didn't see an superficial wounds so x-rays would be needed for further investigation. I was told the cost of sedation and per X-rays cost and agreed. Although they were not able to find something wrong with him they did give him pain pills and K-laser therapy. Salty Paws is a great place and they will continue to be my dog's Vet.

They are wonderful. I would highly recommend them.

Luckily, my dog is back to her old self - full of energy, has her appetite back and her digestion is regular. I am very pleased with the care Salty Paws and Dr. Blessing gave me and my dog!

Very professional, from the moment we walked through the door. They took excellent care of our puppy. In fact, he seemed happier AFTER surgery! We'll definitely be going back!

i have taken my dog to SALTY PAWS VETERINARY HOSPITAL since she was a puppy. the staff is friendly and will answer all questions you have about your pet. i will keep taking my pet back there in the future. they have a facebook page where you can ask them how your dog is when you are traveling when they are boarding at the hospital. i will continue to use them in the future.

We recently moved to the area and this vet practice was recommended by our neighbor. The vet (Dr Blessing) and the staff were very supportive as we were bringing our elderly dog in for a few visits before she finally succumbed to bladder cancer and had to be put to sleep. The process was traumatic, of course, but the staff made it as easy as possible. Dr Blessing had even given me her private cell number in case our dog's condition worsened over the weekend or after hours. When the time came, she stayed late so that we could bring our dog in late in the afternoon. Although she seemed somewhat dispassionate at first. she proved to be very sympathetic. She called us several times during the process to make sure everything was going well, and the practice sent us a sympathy card afterward.
