The staff at Pine Meadows are great. I was running late for my appointment and called them to let them know and they were very understanding and said no worries. Once we arrived, we were greeted with welcoming arms. They addressed all the issues I had with my dog and everything was answered in detail. We even had questions about allergies and instead of them trying to get $$ from us for medication, they stated we can purchase stuff from the local store. "Save $$$" The place is very clean and doesn't smell like wet dog, as I have smelled in the past at other places. After everything was done, they gave us a welcome package with free Heartgard, Advantix and food. Thanks for the great experience and we will be back! :-)
"Thank you for your review. We appreciate your business and allowing us to care for your pet. Our hospital has a huge history to it. It may not be as decorative as some others but I don't think you can beat our quality, care, and dedication to your pet."
"Thank you [removed member name] for your review. We are constantly trying to come up with new ideas to keep all of our boarders and day care boarders happy and comfortable. If you have any ideas please feel free to share them with us."
"Thank you for your review[removed member name]. I am glad that you are happy with our services. We try to give exceptional service and provide cutting edge technology such as digital radiology, cold laser therapy, and endoscopy but try to keep our prices in the middle of all the practices around us. When you come back in, we can help you select an insurance program that might help with our costs. Many of them are pretty reasonable and have helped out many of our clients when major surgery was needed or a serious medical issue necessitated hospitalization. We would be more than happy to help you with anything you need."
surgery by a specialist at another clinic within a week of the visit that started her suspicion. I was
unable to do proper care after surgery so Pine Meadow boarded him and took care
of wound cleaning for 6 days. Then Dr. D'Angelis made all the contacts and prep
for us to see a Chemo doctor in Richmond. He received 5 chemo
treatments in the Pine Meadow office all overseen by the Richmond
doctor. Everyone was fantastic, understanding, informative. I couldn't
ask for better care for him.
Dr. D'Angelis also rescued a wire-haired dachshund from an abusive owner and knowing I did foster care, called me. She worked with my brother's vet in PA so that he and his family could adopt Tucker. She took care of him for 3 weeks at her own expense at the clinic.
"Thank you for your review. We all remember your dog very well and we try and treat all of our patients as if they were our own. We know how scared it can be to have a sick animal and do everything we can to get the care we feel that your animal needs as quickly as possible."
"Thank you very much for your review. We are making a big effort to see everyone who wants to be seen that day even if they do not have an appointment. We are constantly trying to improve our client service with continuing education and staff meetings dedicated to client service."
"Thank you for your review (member name removed)! We are constantly striving to provide the best experience possible at our hospital for both the pet and the owner. Hopefully Rocco will be more comfortable next time he is here. We know how stressful it can be so we try to be patient and thorough. We have monthly doctor and staff meetings to review our performance and go over any problems so if you ever have any issues please let us know."
"Thank you Customer. I am glad you were happy with your visit here. We try to promote a professional but friendly atmosphere at our hospital and to charge what we think is a reasonable fee for our services. I hope everything continues to go well for Xena but if there are any problems, please do not hesitate to call us."
The vet has the normal smiling patter down and is technically competent but does not perform timely follow up - for example you can order a test and they will not inform you of the results for many days after they receive them; even then they will not discuss the next step - at best unprofessional. Very few vets I know will pass up the chance to make more money passing up the chance for a consult or additional testing. At least discuss options. Canine dermatology is a complex subject. If the standard tests don't immediately reveal a possible cause for the condition; then don't tell the client "looks normal" and leave them hanging in the wind. Especially when the condition has not been resolved. Howvere, the attitude seems to be - "we've got our money upfront, we'll get around to you later."
Exam rooms are claustrophobic and would stress a large or nervous dog. The support staff does not know how to read animal behavior. They literally offer their face to a dog they've never seen before - I pulled the dog back in time. Not very bright and demonstrates a profound lack of training. A vet's office is a high stress environment for many dogs and all should be approached at arms length. If you have a nervous dog or a bitter, muzzle them before you enter the exam room or someone will get bitten.scuss
"Dear Member, I am very sorry that you had a less than satisfactory visit to our veterinary hospital. I make no excuses but have addressed my front staff about your complaints and had a full hospital meeting to review appointments, efficiency, and professionalism. Our hospital is committed to providing the best in client service which is why we have monthly meetings for continuing education for all staff members including veterinary assistants, receptionists, and doctors. If there is anything we can do to help you and your pet, please let us know. Dr. Rob Freeman"
