They do veterinary services and boarding. They are in Virginia. They have personalized service, care and consistency. I was there in June. I just did some general check ups for my pets.

Wife took the cat to this vet--so this report is a second-hand summary.  She specifically said how much she enjoyed going there.  The place is clean, the personnel were professional and thorough, and they fit her in on the same day she called.  We won't be going anywhere else.

It was a very good experience. Dr. Freeman the vet is excellent and the price is reasonable. It was a good interaction. The staff was very good. They have a really good location, there is some land around with woods and there are horses out there, it is really nice. They keep it natural.

The staff at Pine Meadows are great. I was running late for my appointment and called them to let them know and they were very understanding and said no worries. Once we arrived, we were greeted with welcoming arms. They addressed all the issues I had with my dog and everything was answered in detail. We even had questions about allergies and instead of them trying to get $$ from us for medication, they stated we can purchase stuff from the local store. "Save $$$"  The place is very clean and doesn't smell like wet dog, as I have smelled in the past at other places. After everything was done, they gave us a welcome package with free Heartgard, Advantix and food. Thanks for the great experience and we will be back! :-)

Regular check up for my 14 yr. old cat.   Bloodwork came out normal.  Cat is healthy.  We've been going to Pine Meadow Vet for 14 years now.  Love all the doctors there.  They are all very caring, great doctors.  Not the fanciest facility, it is old, but clean.  The care is the most important thing when looking for car for my pets and I find it there!

"Thank you for your review. We appreciate your business and allowing us to care for your pet. Our hospital has a huge history to it. It may not be as decorative as some others but I don't think you can beat our quality, care, and dedication to your pet."

They are very good.  We have been with them for a long time.  They are very caring, they really care for the dogs, they are very good with the dogs.  They have good boarding too if you need boarding. They have some Saturday hours about a half a day on Saturdays.  When we board the dogs they don't come back sick.  It's pretty good how they care for the dogs.  Everybody there is kind to the dogs.

I've been using them for 15 years now for my pets. They love the dogs and the dogs love them. I never really had issues other than the fact that it's expensive.

"Thank you for your review[removed member name]. I am glad that you are happy with our services. We try to give exceptional service and provide cutting edge technology such as digital radiology, cold laser therapy, and endoscopy but try to keep our prices in the middle of all the practices around us. When you come back in, we can help you select an insurance program that might help with our costs. Many of them are pretty reasonable and have helped out many of our clients when major surgery was needed or a serious medical issue necessitated hospitalization. We would be more than happy to help you with anything you need."

She quickly did all the preliminary testing and sent info to the cancer surgeon.  He had
surgery by a specialist at another clinic within a week of the visit that started her suspicion. I was
unable to do proper care after surgery so Pine Meadow boarded him and took care
of wound cleaning for 6 days.  Then Dr. D'Angelis made all the contacts and prep
for us to see a Chemo doctor in Richmond.  He received 5 chemo
treatments in the Pine Meadow office all overseen by the Richmond
doctor.  Everyone was fantastic, understanding, informative.  I couldn't
ask for better care for him.
Dr. D'Angelis also rescued a wire-haired dachshund from an abusive owner and knowing I did foster care, called me.  She worked with my brother's vet in PA so that he and his family could adopt Tucker.  She took care of him for 3 weeks at her own expense at the clinic.

"Thank you for your review. We all remember your dog very well and we try and treat all of our patients as if they were our own. We know how scared it can be to have a sick animal and do everything we can to get the care we feel that your animal needs as quickly as possible."

They’re pretty good. Their prices are more than fair. They’re just very professional and you don’t have to set up appointments with them. You can just walk in and the wait time is not very long which is very important.

"Thank you very much for your review. We are making a big effort to see everyone who wants to be seen that day even if they do not have an appointment. We are constantly trying to improve our client service with continuing education and staff meetings dedicated to client service."

While many of the reviews gush over the place, a more observant eye tells a different story.  You can have a scheduled appointment and be left to sit in the waiting room for more than 20 minutes while the admin staff discusses their boy friends - no one will tell you why the delay.  You can also stand in front of the staff at checkin and wait five minutes practicing invisibility.  A professional staff immediately greets new customers.
The vet has the normal smiling patter down and is technically competent but does not perform timely follow up - for example you can order a test and they will not inform you of the results for many days after they receive them; even then they will not discuss the next step - at best unprofessional.  Very few vets I know will pass up the chance to make more money passing up the chance for a consult or additional testing.  At least discuss options. Canine dermatology is a complex subject.  If the standard tests don't  immediately reveal a possible cause for the condition; then don't tell the client "looks normal" and leave them hanging in the wind.  Especially when the condition has not been resolved.  Howvere, the attitude seems to be - "we've got our money upfront, we'll get around to you later."
Exam rooms are claustrophobic and would stress a large or nervous dog.  The support staff does not know how to read animal behavior. They literally offer their face to a dog they've never seen before - I pulled the dog back in time.  Not very bright and demonstrates a profound lack of training.  A vet's office is a high stress  environment for many dogs and all should be approached at arms length.    If you have a nervous dog or a bitter, muzzle them before you enter the exam room or someone will get bitten.scuss

"Dear Member, I am very sorry that you had a less than satisfactory visit to our veterinary hospital. I make no excuses but have addressed my front staff about your complaints and had a full hospital meeting to review appointments, efficiency, and professionalism. Our hospital is committed to providing the best in client service which is why we have monthly meetings for continuing education for all staff members including veterinary assistants, receptionists, and doctors. If there is anything we can do to help you and your pet, please let us know. Dr. Rob Freeman"

My husband and I moved here about a month and a half ago and finding a vet seemed like such an overwhelming task.  I couldn't be happier that I found Pine Meadows. This was my puppies first visit to a vets.  He was very nervous and I had a difficult time getting him through the front door. The staff was amazing and helped me get all set up.  The receptionist discussed the different tests that the doctor may want to perform on my puppy and asked if I was okay with them or if I even wanted them done.  She was very knowledgeable about each procedure/vaccination and explained each one to me and why I may want them.  After I checked in and decided on what vaccinations my puppy would receive I sat down until it was my appointment.  I waited for probably about 5 minutes and then the Vet Tech came to get us.  My puppy was extremely nervous and he made it clear walking anywhere just wasn't going to happen.  The Vet Tech spent time with him to make him feel more safe and comfortable and then picked him up and took him to the exam room.  I was very impressed.  We met with Dr. Mullen who was absolutely wonderful.  He spent a lot of time with me and answered all my questions. He took his time and I didnt once feel rushed (like I have with other vets in the past).  If you're looking for a Vet, stop the search and go to Pine Meadows-- everyone here is very friendly and wonderful! One side note: they only see dogs and cats.  I have a bird so will have to search for a bird vet next.

It was simple. I brought my dog's records from the other vet and they added all the information in their system which I can access on the web.

We have nothing but good things to say about them.  We’ve been very pleased.  Actually it’s my daughter who takes our dog there because it’s her dog.  I think they just have good caring service.  I like the atmosphere there.  Their prices seem good.  It’s a well established practice and they seem to really care about the animals I guess.  We’re just not a number there and they really care about the animals.  Otherwise they can just get lost and things like that.  Anyone would like their vet to take good care of their animals.  It was around $20 a day to put up our dog for boarding services.  Our dog is medium sized.  He weighs fifty pounds.  The price also depends on the size of the dog.  They have their own space to run around but they can also play with the other dogs if you want them to.  So they seem to have a really good place and our dog wasn’t just stuck in the cage the whole week.  That was really nice.  I haven’t had a lot of experience with the other vets but I think their price is fair.  The quality of care received there seems good.  I don’t have a lot of experience though, but it seems fair to me.  It’s good.  Their responsiveness seems very good.  Their punctuality was not a problem.  When we have appointments, we don’t have to wait around there at all.  Their professionalism also seems very good.  We will use their services again in the future.
