Century 21 Nachman Realty provided property management service for approximately 5 years. Initially the service was great, but after a few years the service tapered off dramatically. The property had one tenant the entire time. The property manager (Jeannie Wool) did a poor job of taking care of my property and did not meet my expectations at all. There were constant letters from the Home Owner’s Association that were not addressed or taken care of by the management company, the tenant was approved for a month to month lease during their final 16 months at the property without approval from me, the property was needed a lot of work to get it back into “move in ready status” after the tenant moved out (I attribute that to a lack of oversight and thorough annual inspections of the property), I constantly had to request information from her office that was either overlooked or ignored and rarely responded too…especially when it came to noting items that needed to be fixed or repaired. I must give credit to the front office & administrative staff…they were very good, but were limited in answering questions. A majority of the questions forwarded to Jeannie Wool were not returned until several follow up calls were placed. The #1 reason I am writing this review is that there was a “final straw that broke the camel’s back”….the property ended up sitting empty for 8 months (Mar – Nov) after the tenant moved out. I researched with several local real estate agents during that time frame and they noted a majority of the rental properties in the surrounding area were getting rented out within 2-4 months and at higher rent than what was being advertised for my property. After the 7th month of the property sitting empty, I ended up opening a military by owner account and hiring a real estate agent to sell the property. After putting in considerable cost to make the property move-in ready (i.e., carpet, paint, repairs, landscaping, etc.) the property sold in approx. 30 days after being placed on the market (huge sigh of relief). I highly recommend you stay away from Century 21 Nachman Realty…especially if your property manager is managed by Jeannie Wool. The service is subpar, responsiveness is poor, and you will not get expected level of service one would expect to receive from a property management service that you pay to take care of your property.
