There was an extended period of time between the request for the estimate and the arrival of the estimate. The contract was finally signed the following month (December). We had the sprinkler lines dug up in the area where concrete was to be poured in December. While the weather was not always conducive to pouring concrete, being frequently either rainy or cold, the concrete was not poured until I think early April. In the meantime other driveways for new houses in the neighborhood were poured when the weather was okay, and ours was delayed until they had no others to pour during a weather window. Even then, concrete people did not pour on the day originally scheduled; they showed up late in the day and did part of the forms that day. They did the rest of the forms another day and again delayed the pour because they could not find a Georgia buggy (to move the concrete from the street to the back yard) to rent. I had requested a curve in the sidewalk to match other sidewalk design on the property, and this was not originally formed. It took several visits by one of the company partners to get this straightened out. Even then, the concrete ramp down from the shed was supposed to get to ground level in five feet and did not do so for thirteen feet. This resulted in the walk blocking the yard drainage route. The contractor made an attempt to cure the drainage that I consider to be only partially successful, but I am done with the company and will deal with it another way. Often during this process I felt the communication from the contractor to be inadequate. If I knew ahead of time the delays and frustrations of this project, I simply would never have started it.
