Pool and Spa Servicing
$40,000
Do not hire Tommy or Amanda Myrtle for anything. They lie about everything and do not finish their work. We had them install a 30 foot fiberglass pool in our backyard. They said it would only take 3 weeks to complete and after about 4 months they stopped responding to our calls and left the job unfinished. They unneccesarily ruined the grass in our front yard. They were completely unprofessional in all aspects. For example, they used our brick pavers to try to help level the pool. Instead of backfilling with gravel, they backfilled with dirt. Luckily we saw what they had done and made them do it over mutiple times. We had to watch everything they did to make sure it was done properly. We had to hire the concrete guy on the side to finish the job and we lost out on about $4000. We sued but they are out of business so did not recover any money. Avoid Tommy and Amanda Myrtle for any projects.

We got left with a hole in the ground and lots of problems and unanswered messages. We finally found a poo, company that was willing to help correct/finish the project. During that process we found numerous items that put my family as risk. We have since found over 15 other victims that had the same experience.

Horrible! Once they received our last check they have not been to our house to finish that was on 5/4/2011. We call them and they will not answer theirs phone but on occasion we will get a text message stating that they will be there the next day which they never are. The Owners Tommy and Amanda Myrtle apparently think they know how to do everything so he did our plumping for the pool yet he did not pressure text the pipes and we had a leak 4 leaks actually. Everything they do is half done. He does not know how to grade land so our yard is in ruins and there is mud everywhere. Whatever you do DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We are very sorry we did! Do not let the fancy literature and website fool you! It did us and we are so paying for it now!!

UPDATE* We still have not received our completed gate, They are holding our gate at ransom for payment that was of there own doing.
We planned our package with them at the beginning, Concrete, Fencing ETC. They sent a contractor to our home to do the concrete and he asked us to show him there drawing and if we wanted it stamped, we said yes as it had stated on the estimate they supplied us, Well apparently we had to much of the concrete stamped and now they want more money although they have not completed the fence. And we still have a leak, and we had to pay a landscaper $5000 to come and repair the damage they had did to our yard and regrade around the pool which serenity said they were not responsible for.
We have tried to negotiate with them on several occasions and still are to try to get our pool completed. So again DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
We will probably end up in court before all is said and done. As they have not responded to the BBB or Angie's list. These people just do not care!

Biggest problem is unresponsiveness to requests to finish work.  The owners Tommy and Amanda talk a good game and are  very responsive when a major payment is due, but after that, it is next to impossible to get good, honest, reliable service.  You will find that once you make a payment, their priorities shift to the next job and that you are no longer important.  Retaining wall was poorly installed and left unfinished. Work promised such as poolside outlet and repair of water feature was not done, and we continue to wait for the contractor to finish back filling around the pool so we can start landscaping.  Despite promising that they would close and then open the pool free of charge, they sent us a $250 bill for opening the pool this month. Despite almost a year of phone calls and emails, contractor has still not finished the job. This was a very negative experience for us and we would highly recommend that anyone considering contracting with Serenity Pools of Woodstock Virginia not do so. Do not do business with this company.  You will be sorry.

First of all they put my 40 foot pool in 5 inches off-level. He then tried to hide it by using concrete. I then had to have the 65 ton's of concrete removed, pulled the pool out, and had a crane come in and level things back up. We paid for fiber-optic lights that were never installed, our money was never returned for those, and he messed up our wiring. He was very unprofessional. He told us he was caught having an affair with his wife and so could not come finish his job for 4-5 weeks to prove to his wife that he wasn't cheating. It was just absolutely terrible. It cost us $75000 just to fix his mistakes.
