I paid $40,000 up front, then more as he was doing the job. The walls are leaking through the brick still. I called him and he said that he would fix it but he didn't come. When I addressed this, DCRA told me file a complaint, which I did. They investigated and my daughter told them she didn't want to go to court, just for him to finish the job and to pay for the necessary permit. FD wrote an email to my daughter requesting she get a list together of what to repair. She wrote back that he needed to get an inspector to look at the foundation and redo the waterproofing because he didn't do that correctly. We never heard back from him.

Everything went extremely well. I requested an estimate on 01/20 and got it via e-mail in two days. I took three months to call Freddie back. When I contacted Freddie I sent him questions about many clauses in the contract (which we had read in detail). He responded to each of our questions promptly, professionally, and courteously. I check all of his references and agreed to proceed. He recommended 9 piers (only a part of the rear of the house). Since we were uneasy with our land, we requested that he install piers on the entire back of the house. Our request required him to break a part of our flagstone patio. When we asked him to simply break the entire patio (a partial patio was going to look strange) he agreed at no additional cost. He told me when the crew was going to be there. Due to heavy rain, he had to delay the beginning of the work by one day (which was fine with us). Then, the crew arrived on time and did the work. Freddie e-mailed us and called us throughout the entire process (outstanding communication skills). Then when they were finished they surprised us by seeding the disturbed area and covering it with hay. When the work was done the house was lifted 3/4" closing most of the huge cracks on the exterior walls. I wish that I had found Freddie sooner. I wasted a huge amount of time dealing with other contractors that were not nearly as knowledgeable, professional, or attentive.
