Let me start by saying I have had a lot of good experiences with this company. Over the years they have been in our home to perform service on the fireplace that came with the house. Recently we had a gas leak at our meter where Washington Gas and quickly repaired. When turning on our gas appliances the tech mentioned that the fireplace was in need of replacement. I contacted Wammoth and after some back and forth with pictures I was provided a quote. What I always do is check prices and noticed that the gas fireplace replacement part was double what the manufacturer listed. When I enquired with Wammoth, they fell silent. As a customer, I understand that if a company fronts the cost of a part there will be a mark up, that is understood. However, when is the mark up too much? Hard to say as I am certain som customers don’t question the quote and just pay. Angie’s List asks, “would I hire again” and lists yes or no. I would prefer a maybe, given my past good experiences with them. Given these crazy times I understand the challenges people are going through, like many we have lost a family member to COVID19. For this company I would say give them a try but ask questions.

Very professional and detail oriented company. From the initial consult on fireplace options to the final install, Wammoth did a great job of helping me pick the best fireplace for me and my tastes. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and provided both recommendations and education to help me make the right choice. After an initial deposit of 1/3 of the price, they scheduled my chimney scan within a week, and installation a couple of weeks after that (the logs I selected had to be ordered). Installation was thorough, with care to make the fireplace look good as well as correctly installed. This included raising the floor of the fireplace and selecting the color of the floor and embers to really make the flame and logs stand out. Afterwards, the installation and operation was fully explained and demonstrated. Additional note: the installer was also personable, took the time to answer our questions, practiced proper COVID safety, and even taught me a bit about chimney and fireplace design. I highly recommend Wammoth Services!

Exceeded expectations. Bill came to our home and looked at our fireplace, location of the gas meter, and provided an accurate estimate of the cost of installing a gas fireplace. This required a level 2 chimney certification of our fireplace, performed by a licensed and certified chimney sweep, to determine whether we needed a direct vent insert with two pipes running up the chimney to safely draw and exhaust air from the fireplace or could use a vented log set that utilized chimney to exhaust gas and draws air from the room. We also needed a gas load estimate (we already had a gas water heater, furnace and stove). This determined we needed to split the gas supply and have it balanced to provide the gas for the fireplace separate from the water heater, furnace and stove. Bill installed the gas line. The gas company installed the new gas meter with splitter. We decided to replace our old glass door and screen on the fireplace and chose a Thermo-Rite door and screen. We chose a 30 inch RH Peterson premium vented gas log set. This involved an electronic valve with Intermittent Pilot Ignition, with remote control. It took a while to get this properly placed in our fireplace (elevated on bricks, toward the front of the fireplace) to keep the system from getting too hot and shutting off at maximum gas flow. Bill contacted the manufacturer and did stop short of delivering a fully operational, safe system. He corrected all items identified by the permit inspector (even those he did not agree were outside of code with the gas line). We have had the system long enough for Bill to service it twice. For all visits, he was on time or early, called before he arrived, placed tarps to catch any soot, and cleaned up without leaving a mess! We love our gas fireplace, and use it nearly daily during the late fall, winter and early spring.

They scheduled and came out to service the pilot light issue, which they fixed and also provided needed maintenance to the gas fireplace. They also explained things to us in maintaining the unit. Overall, great service and will use them again.

Our Technician was Ryan. He was on time, professional, and answered all of our concerns. The work turned out great and we even ended up upgrading our fireplace ignition switch on the spot. Would definitely recommend their service.

I am preparing my house for sale. I knew the logs were old and had not been used very much so I was afraid I would have to replace the logs in two fireplaces at a cost of over $2000. Thankfully, Ryan was able to clean them and they are in perfect working order. I was happy to spend $500 to have them in good condition to pass home inspection. Stacy was so kind when I called and wanted an appointment quickly and worked with me to have a satisfactory conclusion. This is a fine family business and I recommend them to anyone needing this service.

We love our new fireplace. Wammoth's customer service was beyond expectations. I got estimates from two other companies and both seemed pretty awful to work with. Wammoth answered all of our questions, was easy to schedule, worked quickly (one day to remove the old fireplace and install the new one), and was extremely clean. Even though the project involved cutting walls, they did not leave any dust behind.

Service was terrific. Ryan was timely, polite, efficient, and helpful. I just purchased a new home with three neglected gas fireplaces. He had them cleaned, inspected, and operating beautifully in no time, tightened a valve to stop a small gas leak, and answered all questions. No false up-selling. Scheduling was easy. I plan to keep them on my list of annual maintenance service providers! Glad to support a local small business!

Can't say enough good things about Wammoth. The guys that come out are super professional and very knowledgeable. I had them initially come out because my brand new gas fireplace wasn't working. The technician worked with Napoleon to troubleshoot the issue and got my fireplace to work (after installing a new part). They came out a few months ago for my fall/winter pre-check and did a fantastic job. They guys are very considerate of keeping the area clean and taking care of your house while they are there. They are super friendly and just good guys! I feel like I can trust them to not oversell me on anything and to be honest with the actual services I need. Would definitely recommend them and use them again.
