The reason I'm writing about a 2006 job is because it doesn't end until 2011.  First, most of the work was done when I was at work, so I only saw the job after the fact.  The river rock I had imagined for the dry creek bed turned out to be large, ugly rip rap.  It was an eyesore from the beginning that my wife and I always hated.  After complaining to the company, they tried to soften up the edges by putting smaller stone along each side.  That didn't really help and I finally had the stone hauled away this summer.  The pavers are pulling away from our concrete stoop.  Then, this summer I was getting my septic tank pumped out and found out that the conduit had been laid directly over my tank.  The handle for the tank cap was visible alongside the conduit.  I complalined to VA Lawn Service and the owner came out to try and re-route the conduit.  He couldn't do it and I hired an electrician to do the job.  The owner said he would make it up to me, but has since dropped the ball.

UPDATE: The electrician was a friend and and repaired the lamp post line on the cheap (gerryrigged). Cost to me was $110.  VA Lawn Service said they would make it up to me.  They sent me a check for $186.
