The work was performed in an outstanding manner. Even though this was a new condominium, the inspector found several significant issues. I would not have found these items myself that he identified and once the builder's warranty expired, it would have cost me personally to fix the problems the builder caused. The inspector was extremely professional, courteous, and reasonably priced for the services rendered. I would highly recommend him and would certainly use him again if I need such assistance. Scott did a very thorough job to inspect all aspects of electrical and plumbing. He had a few recommendations on ways to improve the house once bought -- for safety and saving cost. His report was top notch with photos and detailed descriptions. Excellent.

When we bought our first house we went with the inspector that our realtor recommended. Don’t do this! They have an incentive to find nothing and seal the deal. Our second home we hired the best, and the best is Scott. He looked at every little detail from how fast or slow the toilet flowed to the pilot on the gas fireplace, to the signs of water damage in the basement. He found a lot. So much that we ended up walking away after receiving repair estimates over $20k. I’m so thankful that we went with Scott so that we didn’t buy a house that was in need of some serious repairs. I only wish he was available for our next inspection, but alas he is booked up. Thank you Scott for a job well done.

You will not regret paying for a home inspection conducted by Scott. As a first-time home buyer (new to the country and its inspection processes), he was extremely helpful in not only identifying all the gaps but also suggesting potential improvements and solutions. I could not have been luckier in having picked Scott by stumbling upon his 5* reviews! Such a thorough inspection and almost 4,5 hours of crawlimg, checking, testing! His report has pictures (which helps so much in remembering the issues) and he walks you through all of his findings right upon completion (he gave us the report straight away!). I purchased a home about a year ago. I am not planning to sell the home anytime soon but wanted an inspector to provide unbiased feedback on the severity of and potential remediation options for a few issues I've noticed lately. Scott responded to my request for a quote almost immediately. He was flexible in finding a time to do the inspection despite my busy work schedule. His analysis of the issues was excellent, and he gave me some great ideas on do-it-yourself fixes. He was thoroughly professional and a real pleasure to work with.

Scott arrived on time and completed the inspection within the allotted time. He was quite thorough in inspecting the outside and inside of our house, and explained his findings along the way. His attitude was friendly and professional. At the end he emailed us a complete report of his findings. We were extremely happy with the service Scott provided, and would certainly hire him again.

Mr. DelMonte promptly responded to my email inquiry re: pricing and his availability and was able to give me an appointment within a few days. He arrived on time and inspected the outside of the house first. He is very professional and informative, and friendly. I had many questions, some of which I think were pretty much no-brainers, and Mr. DelMonte answered each with patience, which was very much appreciated. The inspection took close to 4 hours for a 1100 sq. ft. townhome and was all-encompassing - he will test each and every appliance (a first for me). I do not hesitate to highly recommend him for anyone, but especially for someone with limited experience/knowledge in all things "house".

Scott was fantastic. He’s extremely thorough and is a straight shooter. His knowledge base is tremendous and uncovered many issues in the house we were purchasing. He discovered that the 4th bedroom was not a legal bedroom, even though it was listed as one. It wasn’t his opinion, he backed it up with code. We ended up walking away from the house because we would have immediately lost 30-50k of equity on resale due to the fact of the bedroom not being legal. We are still looking for a new house and will use him again as our inspector. His schedule fills up fast so get the earliest apportionment you can.

Wonderful! Scott arrived early to do an inspection of the exterior of the house. He was very knowledgeable and polite. He immediately provided us with a report of his findings (which included color pictures of a few of our issues). He went over the report with us, gave us a few pointers, and walked us through things we did not fully understand. Would definitely hire again :)

Scott showed up a little early and began the inspection of the home's exterior. He did a very thorough job and was very professional and friendly. He wrote the report while at the house and took the time to review it completely with me. I would recommend him to clients and friends and hire him again.

I asked Scott to do a new home inspection in 7/2017. I could not be happier with him and his service! He was superb in every way!! He was very responsive to my emails/text messages/phone calls He was always friendly, courtesy and patient His inspection was thorough and complete. After I showed the report to the builder and was informed they would address all the issues outlined in Scott’s report, I asked Scott to re-evaluate the home. When certain things had not been addressed, he was kind enough to talk with the builder himself to stress the importance of getting the items fixed I would highly recommend Scott to anyone who is looking for a fantastic home inspector I would give him 10 stars!

Scott was a true professional and I am extremely happy with his services. Scott was punctual (arrived 30 mins early! To do outdoor inspection before we arrived), pleasant demeanor, extremely knowledgeable, gave us a lot of tips of how-to's and what-not-to-do during the inspection, took great photos that we could reference later, and had a thorough summary of everything that failed/noted on the inspection. Because of Scott's report, it was easy to get contractor's estimates (his photos and descriptions) were usually sufficient to get quotes for work to be done. Thanks Scott!

Scott was punctual, professional and extremely thorough with his inspection. He explained the entire report, emailed it with pictures before he left and made himself available for follow-up questions the next day. Overall, we are very pleased with the service he provided and highly recommend him.

Scott did his inspection and was superb! My realtor ended up liking Scott's work more than the previous inspector he had been working with. Scott arrived early to the appointment (he arrives early to all of his appointments) to do the exterior of the house. When we arrived he was very kind and professional, and gave us a rundown of what the major issues were on the exterior. Here's the BIG plus. Scott will generate his report which includes color pictures AS he does the inspection. The software that he uses allows for him to edit and add pictures extremely easily. He will go off into the house and inspect one portion (HVAC/Furnace room, attic, bathroom, etc.) then come back to his computer and write up right then and there what he found. For each photo he takes he has a little recorder so he'll be able to write up everything that he saw and not forget a single detail. At the end, he went through everything with us. We had zero questions. What stuck with me, was how diligent and attentive he was to his work while there were three other people (agent, my boyfriend, and myself) sitting right with him talking about completely unrelated topics. Our house had a LOT of issues so digitally the report was quite large. I called him the following day to ask the status and he was devastated that we hadn't received it yet. It was a complete glitch based on the size of the report and he stayed on the phone with me until we were able to ensure that all the files came through. If it weren't for the sheer fact that the report was enormous (comes with color pictures) I know without a doubt that I would have received a copy of the report the very day of the inspection. Whether your house is new or old, he is worth EVERY penny. Going into the home purchase, I had so much assurance that I knew exactly what I was paying for, and it was all from him.

Scott was a pleasure to work with and made the entire experience very educational and enjoyable, which was a huge plus for us, especially as first-time home buyers. He arrived about 1 hour prior to our appointment and examined the exterior of the house, and then got started on the interior promptly when we arrived. Including the hour examining the exterior, the inspection took approximately 5 hours (for a 3-level single family home). The inspection itself went very smoothly, and Scott took his time to go over the home in a very systematic and thorough way. He always brought me over to any issue that was identified and discussed it in depth, and then at the end of the home inspection presented all of his findings along with photos that he took to demonstrate relevant issues. He was incredibly knowledgeable regarding multiple aspects of construction and utilities within the home, impressing me and also my father-in-law who is a civil and environmental engineer. We felt extremely confident in his findings and recommendations at every step of the way, and he made sure that we understood the issues that were discovered. He emailed a detailed report and all relevant photos to us prior to leaving the property. His price was very slightly higher than what some other home inspectors charge, but still competitive. And I definitely believe that you get what you pay for, so I feel the price was absolutely appropriate. I honestly can't think of a single negative aspect of our experience working with Scott, and we'd recommend him without pause to any friends or family in the area, and will certainly think of him first for any future home inspection needs. I contacted Scott on Friday and he performed the inspection the following Monday. We both arrived to the property early; he was friendly and easy to talk to. He explained the findings and didn't rush the inspection process. The inspection took a good 3 hours and it was well worth it, because he paid attention to detail. Scott is awesome and very professional. I highly recommend that you contact him if you need a quality home inspection.
