Description of Work: I found Tom from the Website "Service Magic". Tom Vaughan was hired as a general contractor. He was extremely personable , talking up all his experience. The quality of his work was shocking, his disregard for people's safety was alarming for example , he had removed a wall from the kitchen when asked if county approval would be needed he said NO. I later learned the wall was load bearing and county approval was absolutely necessary. A huge safety concern which cost a lot of additional funds to rectify. Tom also worked on two bathrooms,when questioned why the shower stall was not sitting right, it was excuse after excuse and that it would be fixed. I later learned that he had not put in a wall between the two bathrooms and simply put the two shower stalls back to back. No " wet " drywall had been used in either of the bathrooms. Permits were never obtained from the county. His work was so appalling, hearing excuse after excuse, I was so fedup and asked for my money back ( that of which he had left ~$6000)..
