June was very responsive over the phone and text messages. I needed someone immediately and he was available right away and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. June was also very pleasant. He even typed up an invoice addressing the specific issues so I could have documentation.

He is small and is very conscientous about his work. I am very pleased with the quality and he worked with me on the timing.

I contacted Thacker after receiving a notice from the low-risk homeowner's insurance company covering my newly-purchased townhouse indicating that the roof needing replacing or the coverage would be discontinued.  I had known that the roof was not in great shape, but hoped to wait a year or two before tackling the job.
Thacker Roofing was responsive and gave me a quick estimate.  They then scheduled the job to suit my timeline and got the job done in so I could avoid any problem with the insurance company.  Christina, who handles the calls, scheduling and admin work for the company, is very friendly and easy to work with. 
 The work was completed quickly and the results are great.  Their work is top notch and I would recommend them for any roofing job.

June came by to give me an estimate the very next day.   We had a few estimates and felt that June Thacker was very honest and his prices were very reasonable so we selected him.  He was also very detailed in his service agreement and offered a 15 year workmanship warranty as well as a 30 year shingle warranty (although when he mailed us the manufacturer's warranty, the warranty actually said lifetime and transferable one time to the next  home owner-- even better!) .  My other estimates only listed the shingle warranty at 30 years and no mention of the workmanship warranty. 
June and his guys did a great job!  They left the job site super clean and ran a magnet to pick up any stray nails.  Best of all, the roof looks great!  He went the extra mile and replaced all of the particle board fascia in preparation for installation of Thompson Creek gutter system.  He also hauled off quite a bit of brush for us free of charge b/c he had extra room.  June is truly an honest roofer and will go the extra mile without nickle and diming you (like some other contractors I've had experiences with).  His workmanship and prices are very, very reasonable!  Additonally, June also does the work himself with a few helpers.  He is a 3rd generation roofer and knows what he is doing.  Best of all, he does what he says he will do!!!  We had a great experience with him and would highly recommend him. 

Outstanding.  We actually had Thacker to our house twice in two weeks, for two unrelated problems.
1.  They repaired a complicated roof leak where an addition met the original part of the house.  A fascia board had also rotted, and water that was supposed to flow into the gutter went inside instead.  It was apparently a very complicated repair given the join between the old and the new parts of the house.  They did an outstanding job.
2.  Just two weeks later a neighbor pointed out that many of our roof shingles on a different part of the roof were loose.  Apparently the big storm a week ago had dislodged them.  With rain forecast for Monday, I sent Thacker an email with a picture of the problem on Saturday to see if they could come before the rain.  They came the next morning, a Sunday, and relaid and re-sealed all the shingles.
Promax, our property manager had connected us with Thacker originally.  It was a great referral.  I recommend Thacker without reservation. 

I was so grateful to have Mr. June Thacker repair my roof and perform several odd jobs on my second story dormer. His estimate and bill ($765) was ever so much better than another roofing company's ($3500), he actually bothered to inspect and point out that my sewer exhaust pipe collars were all broken (they only last about 5 years, apparently), and he was very flexible in doing all of the second story jobs I needed while he was up on the roof anyway. Mr. Thacker is fully liscensed (VA Lic No 2705 080742). I got his name from a friend of mine, since I, and he, are new to Angies List.
