INNOVATIVE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES

This contractor came recommended by a large local hardwood flooring distributor. At the recommendation of my allergist, I investigated hardwood floor contractors to replace my old carpeting. I talked to probably two dozen contractors and received bids from Innovative Construction Services (ICS), as well as five other hardwood floor insallers/refinishing companies. Phil from ICS was my choice and a fine one. He was not the cheapest, but Phil made sure the work was done to my specification and always made an effort to meet my needs. Phil found and applied new treatments to eliminate highly volatile glues and chemicals. His workmanship and professionalism were outstanding especially in the details, i.e. finishing the stairs, matching patterns, laying a moisture barrier, added a needed plywood subfloor, running the grain the length of the room, creating aesthetic and clean transitions; from the new flooring to another wood finished floor and from the new flooring to the tiled bathroom and kitchen and shaping and blending the nosing surrounding the stairs case. Phil even finished the wood round trim at his shop to avoid introducing fumes in my home. The floor is stunning, not a single squeak and even through a tough winter show no signs of gaping, settling or movement. I am a demanding customer and found a great contractor who I highly recommend.
