On the 16th of August, after noticing that my brake lights were inoperable, Home Towne replaced the lights, the brake fluid exchange, and the Power Brake booster. 10 days later, my front wheel fell off, resulting in over $3,000 in damages. They were the only shop that conducted any work on my vehicle during this period. After the incident, I contacted Home Towne and asked for monetary restitution, as all indications were that they were the cause of the incident. After their “investigation”, they have denied responsibility and are refusing any payment towards the damages. I intend to take legal action and would recommend that NO one takes their vehicle to this shop to be serviced. I am outraged by a) their negligence, and b) their refusal to accept responsibility for the damage done to my car. Additionally, bear in mind that if my wheel had fallen off on I95, the outcome could have been catastrophic. I will definitely be exploring my legal options and am seeking a fair and equitable restitution to this matter. In the interim, I will be advising all my contacts to avoid Home Towne for any vehicle maintenance.

I was greeted by Emily (service manager) with a friendly disposition. She made my feel like I mattered, which is something I haven't seen in dealership garages since I first owned a car (40 years!) Emily's friendly greeting told me that I was in a place that wasn't just running a conveyor belt of customers through the shop. My being there mattered to them. The check-in was very easy because I made my appointment in advance and told them exactly what I wanted. After getting there, though, I realized that the maintenance monitor on my Honda Accord was telling me that they should also do a general inspection of everything else under the hood and underneath the frame, which she duly noted. I had told them that I had just purchased tires at another location and in order to maintain the warranty, I was required to get an alignment. I noted this on my bill, which tells me that they didn't ignore what I told them. Great customer service! I dropped the car off at eight and they gave me a ride back to my home by a friendly young man (I didn't catch his name, but he wears glasses and has worked for other area dealerships.) Emily called me 90 minutes later and said the car was ready. She dispatched the courtesy shuttle driver to my house and he arrived 15 minutes later. When I arrived back at HomeTowne Auto Repair, Emily was waiting for me behind the cash register. She explained a future maintenance recommendation, based on my mileage, rang-up my total, and I was out of there in minutes. Although I can easily read my bill, as a minor recommendation it may be an added touch to go over the service(s) performed with the customer before ringing-up the total. Again, very minor and Emily may have assumed that I looked smart enough to read on my own. To her credit, she did note that my steering wheel required slight straightening, which I don't remember anyone ever doing for any car I've owned. To top everything off, Emily placed my bill in a little sack, which was pre-handwritten with a thank you and a couple small candies in the bottom (see attached photo.) Although some people may feel this is irrelevant, I think it's a special personal touch that sets this place apart from other car repair places. I will definitely go back to HomeTowne Auto Repair and I will recommend them to all my friends and neighbors. Great job and please don't change that small town feel (or price!)

They were on time. I consider them trustworthy and knowledgeable. I found them online, I read their ratings, because I am a ratings person. I was happy with their ratings and I tried them out. It was easier since I kind of gave them trustworthy and they have a diverse staff, which is important to me. So that is why I kind of when with them and so far it’s been good.

They did it in one day. I scheduled, I left it and I picked it up the next day.

They provide courtesy services on free air and they'll check your tires and put air in them and they'll fix a flat for free.I haven't used them for purchases of tires because I can get the work done cheaper else where. I use a different brand of tires and they sell different tires and the tires that they sell aren't price competitive.
