Folks were on time and very polite. They moved all the large items such as couches, washer and dryer, and beds. They are called EZ move probably because they focus on smaller jobs but these guys managed to handle my large move with ease. They took their time and really worked hard that day. I would certainly recommend and use in the future.

It worked out well. They were prompt and good. My father said that the pricing was good. I think that it was a lot cheaper than when he called other places. I think that he would use them again in the future.

It went well. Guys were on time. The move took some time to do. I think I just have a lot of stuff as I'm still tackling some boxes. My only complaint is the move was right after terrible rain storms. The moving blankets were still damp. This was not realized until my antique wood furniture was in my new place. However, Tim the owner quickly resolved the issue. I would recommend his team again.

This is the second time I have used this moving company and I have been impressed and happy both times! They are responsive and prompt. The two gentlemen that come with the truck are extremely professional and efficient. They were careful with my items and used their resources and time wisely. I couldn't be happier! And for someone that has moved quite frequently and who has been unhappy with companies before, I would highly recommend EZ Small Moves for anyone who wants a good (and competitive) price for exceptional service.

I've used EZ Small Movers before and both times have been extremely satisfied. They were able to squeeze me in the same day and help relocate furniture to the basement during a renovation. I will happily call them again when it's time to move the furniture back to its original spot.

The company's owner was very pleasant to deal with prior to the move and answered all of my questions. I provided him detailed informaiton on the amount of furntiture that needed to be moved (I had previously packed and moved all of our other belongings).
The good: the movers were a few minutes late but called to alert me of the delay. They were courteous in all of their interactions with me and my wife.
The bad: Despite the fact that i had provided a detailed description of the furniture that needed to be moved, the movers arrived in truck that was too small to move the furniture in a single trip. As a result, they had to make two trips which was resulted in a higher cost to me as the company charges by the hour.
The really bad: The movers caused significant damage to a desk that was moved to the office in our new home. The damages included long and deep gouges in the surface of the desk. To their credit, the movers pointed out the damage before I had a chance to inspect. Other pieces of furniture were damaged (albeit in a less signficant way) which related to blemishes and small indentations. Other damages included a gouge in the hardwood floor at the base of the stairs to the second floor as well as numerous nicks and blemishes to the walls in the stairwell leading to the second floor.
When the move was completed, we discussed these issues with the movers. It was clear that they expected payment in full and any compensation for the damages would be considered separately. The movers indicated I should call the owner. I did so a few minutes after the movers departed. The owner arrived at my doorstep later the day. He spent about an hour at the house inspecting the damage and painting the deep gouges in the furniture and hardwood floor. The damage was less noticeable after he touched up with furniture paint. Also, we negotiated for a $100 credit as compensation. Given that the damages exceeded the $100 credit and really can't be repaired to a like new condition, we were dissatisfied. My advise is to choose another moving company.

"To be quite honest, I do not recall all of the details 5 months later regarding what this customer said he had to move, and what we actually moved. We use a 16ft box truck on all of our jobs. I will say this though, this particular move did fall well short of our standards so I do understand the not so great review. However, what the reviewer failed to mention was that myself, the owner, personally came out and touched up the floor and furniture. The mark on the floor was touched up to the point where it was no longer noticeable. The desk that was scratched was huge and very heavy. What I was told ( I wasn't present on the move) that the desk was virtually the exact same size of the door opening. I was told it was so tight, that not even the furniture pad could be left on the desk in order for it to fit. What should have happened at that point, was that customer should have been made aware of the potential damage BEFORE attempting to move it. I should have also been made aware of the situation. We dropped the ball there. Nonetheless, the furniture was damaged. I did attempt to touch it up and it was better, but was still noticeable. Through it all, the customer and his wife remained very pleasant. In knowing that this move still was less than acceptable even after the touch-ups, I did take $100 off of the bill. At the time, it appeared as though this was acceptable enough to at least get a "C" overall rating. It seemed as though the customer was pleased with the much deserved discount. This particular job did serve as a teaching opportunity as to what we can do better to avoid situations like this in the future. Thanks for the feedback."

I had a King size bed and headboard, a dresser, a storage box and a sectional sofa to move. My inquiry was promptly answered and a time for the move set. It appears to me the number one calls is a dispatcher number to any number of independent truck owners. So you might not know if you can duplicate my good experience. The guys moving me were 3 20-somethings with an old Penske truck with logos painted over. They showed up on time and loaded my stuff in about half hour. They earned their pay getting the King size bed up the tiny stairs in my 1890 house in Old Town. I paid $305 for the 2 hour minimum even though they came and went within 1 1/2 hours. Exactly what I expected and wanted.

I will start by saying that this was not the right mover for our situation. If you have a very small move, they will probably be fine for you. My understanding from their webisite and a conversation with a company rep, however, was that they could handle a 3 bedroom apartment move, but when they arrived with only a16 foot truck, we realized there was a disconnect. The manager spoke to us by phone after his workers realized this was going to be an issue (this was the first time we had spoken to him) and said they would make two moves with the truck and back out the travel time, so we weren't penalized. They did this, but in a way, it still cost us. The workers were pleasant, but we thought things moved fairly slowly. We were paying by the hour, and they were taking additional time to rearrange things in the truck (once due to a leak in the truck - so it didn't leak on our furniture, and other times to try to get more items on the truck). That could have been avoided had the truck been large enough to start with and not leaking. I felt like the manager was blaming us too, saying we didn't give them enough information, when I had filled out the information requested on their website, indicating it was a 2+ bedroom apt move to a house and also told the person on the phone that we had 3 bedrooms to move in addition to the rest of the apartment (living room, dining room) as well as 3 large armoires. They also damaged our new floors in our house. Having never been in a position to hire movers myself, I learned a couple of lessons: avoid using companies that do not come out to your place to give you an estimate, and avoid those that significantly limit their liability. This company limits their property damage liability to $75. This wasn't shared until their paperwork was received, 2 business days before the move. At that point, it was too late to find another mover. They did send us a $75 check for the floor damage, even though that doesn't reasonably cover the damage. We were so frustated with this company that we decided not to even file a furniture damage claim with them.

There was a mistake re. elevator/loading dock reservation at the building I was moving from, so the move took 2 hours longer than we'd planned. I had to pay more, but this was not the fault of EZ Small Moves. The movers kept at it until the job was completed.

Justin and Jordan showed up on time. They were very friendly, excellent communicators, professional, and very efficient. They completed everything we asked of them in less time than we expected. And EZ Small Moves rates were already competitive to begin with. We will use them again, and we hope you will too.

EZ Small Moves is an outstanding company with which to do business. This was a difficult move for us, which included downsizing from a townhouse to a two-bedroom condo a short distance away. We're seniors--moving was not easy. Thank God, we had three men who came on time, were patient and respectful of our concerns, were VERY careful handling our furnishings, And, they are genuinely kind men. They worked very hard. Nothing was damaged. I chose EZ Small Moves because of the reviews I read on Angie"s List. I must add my review, therefore: DO NOT HESITATE TO HIRE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL APPRECIATE THEIR OUTSTANDING SERVICE.

They arrived in a timely manner and worked smoothly and effiently throughout. they were good natured in spite of the difficulties I was having remembering where the furniture was to go. Best of all they did not break anything even though it had been packed by amateurs.

Went well. Truck used was a Penske Truck painted over in yellow. It did not contain their branding information. Two guys showed up and moved me very quickly. No complaints except one. They did not confirm my appointment the day before. I would have felt better if they did that.

We live in a four level townhome and needed to de-clutter the house to prepare for a showing. I contacted EZ Small Moves for an estimate to move around 40 boxes and two small pieces of furniture to a storage unit as well as move 4 pieces of furniture between rooms. I was given an estimate of $285 for the first two hours, $90 each additional hour, for a two man team.
The day before the move, we realized we actually had around 65-75 sealed boxes of various sizes sitting in four rooms on four floors, along with three small pieces of furniture, all to be moved to a 10' x 10' unit in a Shirlington storage unit; we also had seven pieces of furniture to either be rearranged or swapped between rooms. I contacted EZ Small Moves and they changed the estimate to $305 for the first two hours, $105 each additional hour, for a three man team. (My ending total was reduced by 5% thanks to their Angie's List coupon.)
The next day, the movers arrived within the arrival time window, calling ahead about 15 minutes out from the house. They worked efficiently and managed to load up the truck within an hour. They next worked quickly to rearrange and move the furniture, and were very patient with us when we ended up changing our minds on locations.
We next drove to the storage unit - their truck following my car - and were very fast in unloading my items and placing them in our storage unit in an orderly way.
The team was very professional and easy to work with. I would hire them again for similar moves.
