"[Member Name Removed], As explained to you prior, this stemmed from a misunderstanding. The $225 charged was not for the free estimate. It was for the labor, diagnostic, and temporary repair of the light. The invoice you signed confirms this acknowledgement. It was also explained to you that the pricing of $225 factors in employee compensation, general material depreciation, gas/mileage, liability insurance, and would be applied to any additional work done. It was also explained that the fix would be temporary and that a new transformer would be necessary in order to maintain functionality. We verbally provided you an estimate and upon request, and we also sent you a detailed one via email. A screenshot of the email sent out was sent to you to confirm this. For added transparency, we also forwarded you an email from the parts manufacturer with their quote to us. We do not cherry pick jobs, we are honored to work in every home we are invited in to. To try to compensate to you we have given you a refund on the work paid for up to date (still pending but should reach you within two weeks) and an additional 10% off any future work should you give us the opportunity to make it up to you. However, because we are a small family run company, there are some projects we cannot compete on price wise simply because larger firms have bette wholesale deals on parts. It is unfortunate that we were unable to meet your expectations but, as always, should you have any additional questions concerns feel free to reach out to us and we will be happy to assist you in any future needs you may have. Best Regards, EMS Family"
