You must be a member to take advantage of their deals. The company is ok, I only use them if I need to make big purchases.

These people are scam artists. We've complained directly to the owners, then to BBB, then with the Virginia Office of the Attorney General mediation. All to no avail since we signed a contract based on the lies they told us. Still considering small claims court. Will probably write to local papers. I didn't know such liars and scammers could run a so-called legitimate business. These people are immoral and should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people. If anyone out there has been ripped and wants to do something about it, please contact me [email protected]. We can't let them get away with this.

Julie Anderson, the Kitchen Designer at Direct Buy Woodbridge, is the primary reason I am not suspending my membership. While I believe that Direct Buy delivers great value for those who research their major purchases carefully (saved tons on BR furniture, flooring, Cellular Blinds, a TV, ceiling fans, door knobs, and of course the kitchen), It can be a slow process for most orders placed through the club (online orders are a bit faster).
At first, I grumbled at the requirement that I make an appointment for a designer and pay a designing fee. but buy, is Julie Anderson worth it! She is not just a top notch, expert designer, but she also acts as your sales Point of Contact for these orders, She is not only professional, she strikes me as one of the good guys in the universe, and has renewed my faith in DirectBuy. I still think the process involved in buying through this buying club is really out-dated, but it's employees like Julie over there on Noble Pond who make it bearable, and worth it in the end.
Julie designed a kitchen for my space with too many strange constraints. She managed to maximize space while giving me the crown moldings and other beautiful details (like furniture end moldings for the bottom of the island). She found space in a blind corner - the pipes had prevented the previous owners from utilizing this corner. I went through the design process with home Depot for this kitchen, and what they came up with was not very good, and utilized only 80% of the space that Julie found for me. home Depot price was also much higher, even though it was for a lower level cabinets with thinner plywood.
Julie oversaw the purchase of my cabinets and the purchase of my granite, and those things went super smooth. Delivery was in the hands of a third party company hired by the manufacturer, and that had issues (only delivered 1/2 on first day). However, Julie, as my go-between, was able to get the right people involved to fix the issues!

They are excellent. We have lived in this house for forty years, and they knew we had to do something new. We are not selling it now, we have to move here and there, but we just needed the appraising, and they were very helpful. We switched to the office down at Woodbridge, they were really quite good, and they have been super helpful. We haven’t put the carpet in yet, he is coming later this week to put the carpet in, and the prices were super reasonable, it was just outstanding. We paid $74 as membership fee because we joined as a husband and wife team, and after that it is $149 a year. We had to pay $3500 upfront, but we made it up on the first purchase we made for our daughter, and we saved on everything we bought after that, we saved about 58% by dealing with them. We pay wholesale prices, not retail because we order it direct from the company, and we don’t pay for shipping, handling and delivery, so we save bundles of money. It’s helpful when there are big projects that I have to do. They tell me that if I can find something cheaper anywhere else, then I shouldn’t use them, and I like that. They gave me a list of people I could use for installing the floors and carpets and the man who did the work was quite good and super reasonable. I was glad that he was still on their list, because I wanted him back to put our carpets in. He subcontracted the flooring work, but he was here, and he inspected everything finally himself. We became members of another DirectBuy in Huntsville, Alabama to buy some furniture for our daughter, both the stores are helpful, they had big stores with everything on display, and they are individually run, they are franchises.

They are expensive. I would use them in the future.

We contracted with them to do a kitchen remodel. It was a nightmare. They did a poor design on the kitchen. The cabinets are garbage. When they first arrived, they were the partical board and had to be re-ordered (because I ordered plywood). Then the plywood came in with the wrong color and had burn marks from the saws. We pulled from the partical board and plywood to get the kitchen together. There are still many defects and it has still not been resolved. It looks horrendous and it's all poor quality. It's a $38,000 kitchen disaster.
