DAVIS LAWN TRACTOR REPAIR

Tim was great to work with. He and a colleague called ahead within the service window they promised, showed up when expected, performed the work right there in the street in front of my house from there mobile work space in the back of their truck. The mower works like a champ (couldn't get it running prior and the auto cut off and power wheel cables had long since broken). They walked me through the work they'd done afterwards before taking payment. Knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I'll be calling Davis Lawn Tractor Repair again in the future as needs arise.

Mr Davis jumped right to work pulling my unit apart and found the bowl for the float for the carburetor was a mess and he said with his experience he finds the carburetors are worst. So he changed the carburetor and float bowl. While he was at it he said that he wanted to change the fuel line due to the age of the machine. Rather than clean and re-gap the spark plug the snow blower needed a new spark plug - -the old one was in bad shape. Once he put it all back together and added a little gas into the tank. The machine started right up with 2 pulls of the cord. Although it has electric start, Mr Davis wanted to ensure that the machine was going to work once I had it away from the house. DOES IT EVER!!!! GREAT JOB! I will gladly use Mr Davis again.

We have used Davis for several years.They have always been prompt, efficient and professional. This time was no exception. Two technicians worked separately and together to perform regular annual maintenance and winterizing the three pieces of equipment. They arrived early, but only after calling us first to make sure it would be OK. We will continue to use Davis in the future and would not hesitate to recommend the company.

This took two visits. The first was to take an initial look at the riding mower and determine the problem, then they came back after the ordered parts were received and replaced the belt. I initially called on a Monday and made the first appointment for Wed, and they came back that Sat to finish the repair job. The mechanics were prompt, polite and knowledgeable throughout. This company will be my first choice if I have another problem with the riding mower.

Very prompt in setting up an appointment and was there at the appointed time. Very nice in his explanation on how to care for the mower and repaired it within 30 minutes. His truck is equipped to make virtually any repair. I would definitely use his service again and would recommend him to others. I couldn't have been more pleased with this experience.

My lawnmower was throttling back and forth ... my son wouldn't use it because it sounded so bad and the last time I used it, my wife asked me to turn it off since she didn't like listening to it either. I called Davis Lawn Tractor. I did have to wait a few days for service, but it was totally worth it. I received a reminder call the day before, so I would know to leave my mower outside if I wasn't going to be home. The call was a nice touch I didn't expect. When the mechanic came to my house, he explained to me exactly what the problem was after taking a look, replaced a bolt I asked him about, showed me some maintenance tips to keep the mower in top shape, repaired the mower's problems (bad carburetor diaphragm), sharpened the blade, changed the oil and the spark plug ... there may have been more. He did a great job, and returned the mower to me cleaner than when I gave it to him. I will definitely call them again if I need service and would eagerly recommend them to neighbors and friends.

They did an excellent job. At first when I called I was thinking they misunderstood me and thought I had a riding lawnmower and had to come to the house. But they explained this is a mobile lawnmower repair service, no shop. The guy arrived during the arranged time and wheeled my lawnmower to the back of his truck. OMG he had a lawnmower shop on wheels! He worked on my lawnmower for about 45 minutes, could have been a little longer, not really keeping track of time. He had it working great. Besides the workmanship the next best thing was I did not have to put my lawnmower in my car and drop off somewhere and then wait for it to be done to pick back up. I'm so glad I found these guys on Angie's List. I will definitely call them again and recommend to all our friends.

Davis tractor does a great job. Tim really knows his stuff. He was able to fix a problem in a new Sears tractor that the Sear fellow couldn't fix. I had two different Sear guys out and they could not find the problem. Tim came out told us what part to get from them and he came out and fixed it. He is on time, honest and goes the extra mile to give you great service at very reasonable prices.

Excellent. We requested service via their website. They responded the same day and scheduled the work for Tuesday of the following week. Arrived on time, performed a complete inspection and tune-up of our mower and gave some good tips for gas storage and safety. They were wonderful and we plan to use them again whenever any of our lawn and garden equipment needs service! Thanks so much.

The guys did a great job. They aim to please and show you what you need to know about your machines. I was so impressed with their service that I contracted them for 2 years. Since they come to your home and work on your machines, it is takes a lot of the hassle of getting a riding mower to and back from a lawn repair local shop. Highly recommended to anyone in need of lawn equipment repairs.

Left an message on Angie's List for the contractor. They contacted me within an hour and set up an appointment for the same afternoon. Mr. Davis showed up on time and repaired the engine of the snow-blower in my driveway. Charges were reasonable and the snow-blower starts and runs like a dream. Mr. Davis also explained the problems that gasoline with ethanol cause with small engines and gave me tips to prevent carbureter clogging in the future.

I called on Wednesday, to see if they would be able to look at my mower. They scheduled an appointment for that Saturday, between 8am and 10am. They gave me a call at about 9:00, letting me know that they would be arriving by around 9:30. When they arrived, they asked me for some information about the history of the mower. Within about 15 minutes they had the starter removed, and showed me what was wrong with it, while informing me that it would need to be replaced. They had a new replacement starter on their truck with them, and it was installed in no time. Then they proceeded to complete the maintenance. They changed the oil, air filter, spark plug, fuel filter; they removed and sharpened the blades, greased the body where needed. Overall, I was very satisfied with their service. I was especially impressed with how efficiently they worked. The Starter replacement and the full service was completed within less than 2 hours. As for cost, they charged $50 for the "Home Charge", $129 for Labor, $109 for the starter, and $40 for the service parts. There was no additional labor charge for installing the starter, so I can estimate that the bill for just the maintenance service would have been about $200. My price included a "coupon" discount of $19.35, which seems to relate to their advertised 15% discount on Tune-ups during "DEC, JAN, FEB". This is not the cheapest company that I've dealt with, but they scheduled an appointment in less than a week, on a Saturday. They arrived when they said they would. They were very capable in diagnosing and repairing the problem that I was having. I will definitely call them next year for my Mower Tune Up.

Went to their website on Tuesday to request an appointment. We received a phone call at 8 AM Wednesday morning, and a technician was at our door around 8:30! The service was prompt, efficient, and professional. Total cost for a push lawnmower service was around $75 including parts and labor. Would definitely use again for service.

Emailed the day before, got a call the next morning and said they could be here in an hour or so. Showed up as stated and performed service in under an hour and a half. Great price and will definitely call again!

Overall It went great. I was very satisfied with Davis Lawn & Tractor Repair, LLC. On the date of service, Tim was a little early, but I'm not going to hold that against him or downgrade my review for that. When I scheduled the service, I was given a 2 hour window from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. He arrived at 1:30 PM and to his credit, he called my cellphone a half hour before he arrived. Communication Communication was good from start to finish. I called on 7/8/2014 in the evening at 6:45 PM and left a message on their answering machine. I received a call back two days later on 7/10/2014 from "Kim" and scheduled an appointment for 7/18/2014 with a window from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. I gave her my credit card number so that they could order the necessary part. The day prior to service, I received an appointment confirmation from Kim. Price I received an estimate of $93.40 for the repairs. The final cost was $96.40. They forgot to add a $3.00 "Shop supplies/Waste disposal" fee. No big deal. I think the cost is reasonable, considering that they came to my home to do the service. Professionalism Tim Davis was very polite and professional. He took time after he completed the service to give me some helpful advice on how to store my mower for winter. I told him that I would probably have him take care of that. He said that they offer a 15 % discount on tune ups during the winter months (December,January,February). I never felt pressured to buy anything or purchase service contract. Quality Tim finished the repair in about 10 minutes and checked his work afterwards. I inspected the work and ran the mower. Everything is in good working order.

I scheduled the appointment, the company called the day before to confirm the date and time, the technician called about 30 minutes before he arrived to confirm he was en route. When he got there, he described the service he would provide and the costs involved. Mr. Davis was very thorough with my lawnmower service. He was able to sharpen the lawnmower blade instead of replacing it. He also told me where I could buy a replacement blade for use in future service. The timing and price of this service was impeccable. I've had to wait 2-3 weeks AND pay more for lawnmower service in the past. No more. Thanks for the outstanding service.

I am so impressed. They called 20 minutes before arrival. Was quick to diagnose and remedy the problem. I will definitely use them again as well as recommend them to anyone.

our mower took a beating when we moved here last year. plus the Davis team discovered that I had left gas in the mower for a while. after a quick inspection (I had barely made it into the house!) they determined the carburetor was frozen due to old gas. they came back, got it replaced, tuned up the mower, and sharpened the blades. I'm ready to go - I guess no more excuses not to mow the lawn! great company...focused on excellent customer service...highly recommend!

It went fantastic! They came on time and got to work quickly and found the problem. They even had a replacement carburetor on the truck. (I had let old gas sit in my unit for 2 seasons)

Highly professional and friendly and the tech provided me with some information that I needed regarding the shut off valve as well as gasoline prep for the end of the season. Office called to confirm the day before and the tech called me when he was 15 minutes away to let me know he was coming. I highly recommend this company!

Arrived as scheduled, serviced and repaired lawn vacuum, could not repair snowblower, was just too far gone. Gave good advice to better care for next one and provided recommendations. Will use again.

I had read the many positive reviews of Davis Lawn Tractor and after the service call this past Friday they all are accurate. I had a window set up from noon to 2 p.m. and they came earlier after calling me to ask if it was okay. It was. Tim and Scott were completely professional and polite. They serviced my lawnmower for the cutting season and installed, without cost, a cut off valve to prevent gasoline from getting into the carburetor and ruining it. The cost was reasonable and you can't beat having a house call as I don't have a truck or minivan to bring a lawnmower to the service shop. I highly recommend Davis Lawn Tractor Repair and will use them again.
