Arrived within the time window given. Took less than half hour to get everything completed. Technician was friendly and professional. He was very conscientious about keeping the work area clean.

I could not be at home at the time service was available. All the work was performed in my absence. A detailed service order explained what was done, and replaced parts were left for me to see. A discount I didn't know to ask for was applied, and the charges were quite reasonable. Having someone I can trust to make "house calls" is very important to me. I will definitely call upon Davis Lawn Tractor Repair in future and recommend it highly to my friends.

Great. 100% recommend. This is the 4th year I've used Davis for their spring lawn mower tune-up. Always a pleasure and they're all very professional.

Called several other lawn mower repair businesses which couldn't get to me for several days or were a little more expensive than I had expected. Left a message on Davis Lawn Tractor Repair's voice messaging system and received a call back within a few hours. Scheduled the soonest available appointment. Received a reminder call the day before. Tim (mechanic/repairman) called when he was on his way. Tim arrived within the agreed upon time window. He quickly got to the problem. Water in the gas. This didn't even occur to me since I had just filled up my gas can (I won't be going to that station for gasoline anymore.) Tim drained the tank, cleaned out the carburetor bowl, and filled the tank with fresh gas. He checked for leaks and fired her up. Overall cost compared to other quotes I was given is reasonable.

The technician (Tim) was on time, professional and was able to fix the issues with the engine quickly and also provide me the information I needed to keep it running well despite being stored a large percentage of the time. It was most helpful that his mobile shop could come to my location as the tiller is too big and heavy to easily bring it in to another location.

Could not have been more pleased, actually pleased beyond belief! I've never received such spectacular service from anyone, ever. Mr Davis came out on a Saturday, within days of placing my call. You read that right, he came to me and on a Saturday no less! I've paid far more for an end of season tune-up for all my other lawnmowers that have since bit the dust and I also had to load them into my car and drive them to the lawnmower shop leaving my car smelling of fuel for days after the drop off and pick up. Not with Davis Lawn Tractor Repair. Mr Davis showed up with a fully stocked service center on wheels and performed a complete tune-up, oil & air filter change, replaced spark plug, sharpened the blade, and removed every clump and blade of grass plastered in every nook and cranny of the lawnmower and used compressed air to dry out all the dampness that the wet grass clumps left behind, especially in the wheels and the levers that controls the height of the blades. He explained the hazard that most adversely effects lawn mowers, is moisture. The water absorption that occurs as ethanol in the fuel evaporates leading to widespread rust which destroys the carburetor. He explained how lucky I was that our Honda lawnmower includes a fuel shut off valve and recommended that when mowing was nearly completed, to turn off the valve and let the mower run until the fuel in the carburetor runs out. This would drain the carburetor of all fuel preventing moisture buildup from ethanol evaporation in the carburetor. He also suggested adding fuel stabilizer to every gallon of gas, and not just at year's end to stave away the ethanol evaporation leading to moisture absorption problem described above. He also advised to prevent rust in the sidewalls of the cutting well, the wheels and height adjustment mechanisms, to remove clumps of wet grass as they begin to build up. After all work was performed he demonstrated that the mower was in perfect operating condition at the end of the service call. I am confident that our lawnmower is now ready to take on another mowing season. I am so happy that we found Davis Lawn Tractor Repair and highly recommend them to anyone who owns a lawnmower and is fortunate enough to be located in their service area.

Absolutely outstanding. I called expecting a delay due to snowy weather but they had a cancellation and showed up during the snow. Problem was quickly diagnosed and I opted for the carburetor repair since the unit was older. Tim working during the entire snowfall and 20 degree temps. I've never had better or more professional service. Unit runs like a champ now. Will absolutely use again. Mobile repair at your home is awesome.

I could not have asked for better service. Scott and Tim (the engineers) were professional and knew exactly what needed to be done. They repaired my push lawn mower and gave suggestions to prevent issues in the future. I was so impressed with their professionalism, that I signed a three year maintenance contract with them. I can't praise this company enough - kudos to them and now acquiring a life-long customer!! 5 Stars to this company!! I also want to add that they repaired my lawn mower at my home, they didn't need to take it away and come back weeks later - how refreshing was that?! Kudos to Angies List for turning me onto this phenomenal company. Kim, also worked with me and made sure I was contacted a day prior, to make that there were no issues with the appointment and called the day of, to make sure I was available. Probably the best experience I've had with an Angie's List service provider! Kim was great setting up the appointment. Tim let me know he was coming and was right on time. He patiently explained each step and gave me tips on how to take better care of my tractor. He was meticulous and thorough in his work, and I was impressed throughout. Not only will I be using this company again, but I will certainly let my friends know!

It could not have gone better.  They did and excellent job and it was so nice to have someone come to my home to take care of the service and not have to load it up and take to a repair shop who would always keep it for months everytimel.  Thanks to searching Angies List, I was able to find this company that I didn't even know existed.    I highly recommend this company - you will not be disappointed based on the service I received.
